My only disappointment were food in your pub
I tried to check in a night early- they didn't have a bed available- that was ok- however when I went to the address- I was then redirected via a sign to a different hostel to check in- this hostel was in a state of demolition- literally. After finding myself a different hostel, and subsequently cancelling my stay at St Christophers- I was charged for my first night DESPITE paying cancellation insurance. When I emailed to question this I got no reply.
As a female only hostel, it felt quite safe and the other guests tend to keep quite clean. According to a roomate, the 8 bed dorm was better than the 6 bed because the room itself was larger. Super close to the train station that goes to and from the airport and also close to the underground, although you will probably need to make some transfers to get to the main attractions. Downside is the reception & bar is a few blocks away and you may need to hike up some stairs. Didn't bother us though.
I have to be honest, there was a drug bust on the same alley/side street that the women's hostel is, so to have 20 police officers surrounding the area at night was a bit daunting. The other side is on the high street, so you hear allsorts until all hours of the morning. Plus a pair of Russian girls decided to come stumbling in at 4 am and woke everyone. Overall, I doubt anyone in the room got any sleep. I do wish the showers, toilers were a bit cleaner. Happy there were plenty of showers though
My fifth time in the hostel so what can I say about it? Location is very good, the underground is next to it and it's not a problem to walk 5 minutes to the other hostel for breakfast and reception. The rooms are big and have lockers and are clean and so are the toilets and showers. What I miss is a kitchen to cook but I know when I'll go back to London I'll book the same hostel.
Did not get the best feeling from the staff, especially the female desk worker. Everyone else in London seemed extra friendly except the hostel workers.
Good location, friendly staff, no lift, toilets may need to be cleaned a little more.
The counter staff gave us wrong keys, so we have to go to the village again. However he didn't say anything like sorry
Really helpful and friendly staff. Great location. The place is great for what you pay and at that location.
The Hostel is in a good location, in front of a subway station. But, there's not security. You have the card to unlock the doors, to access the rooms. About the cleaning, the corridors and other areas were cleaned, but the bathroom, the toilet needs some improvements.
excellent! really clean. though it's alittle bit unconvenient to eat breakfast. but free breakfast is really good value!!
Clean and great location. Unfortunate that reception, common room and breakfast was in a different building.
The Inn and Village are both party hostels with pubs in the ground floor. The all-female Oasis lives up to its name - pretty peaceful. I cannot say enough about the kindness and thoughtfulness of the staff. I got sick and ended in the hospital while I was there, and they went out of their way, refunding me the nights I was hospitalized (without my asking for it), watching after my luggage, making sure I was OK - they were great. I highly commend them.
The only setback was to have to carry a heavy luggage up to the highest floor in summer!:(

oasis was a wonderful place to stay. extremely safe and secure. staff all very friendly. only problem was there was no temperature option in the showers so in the warm weather they were a bit too hot, but otherwise it was an amazing stay :)

We were a group of 4 and we liked the location. We also liked the fast internet connection. However: at night our dorm got so hot bc there were 8 girls sleeping in one room with just one window that opened only 10cm(legal restriction). We couldnt leave the door open bc the lights in the hallway couldnt be turned off. When we asked the staff to at least give us a fan they couldnt help us in any way. If ur ok with sleeping in sauna conditions and high noise level(!) Oasis is the place to be.
This hostel is part of the st. Christopher's village location but in a seperate building. The building is not very nice. The bathrooms and showers are sub par. Our room was decent but the facilities need to be better. The hallways a smells like noodles as its above a noodle house. The staff was nice, and the bar down the street was helpful. But overall below average.
oasis is a 3-block walk from reception, which made checking in and out with my baggage a mess. wifi was amazing, and staff was reasonably helpful despite their far location. beware, however: if you book a 2-bed room, you'll be put on the top floor where even the hallway is sweltering - slept in my undies and still couldn't escape the sweat.
Staff are really nice and helpful. Food and bar were great. the rooms were good value for money. One complaint though - the stairwell stank of urine, don't know if it was from the alley way or what but really needs to get sorted.
I only stayed here a night to be close to Liverpool station for my early morning train but it was a great place. It had really good vibes and had a bar and food which I would have checked out if I was staying longer. The rooms were big and so were the beds, very comfortable sleep. Bathrooms were good. Would recomend if you want to meet people and partay at the hostel rather than going out. Although the staff weren't very helpful but did their job
