Impersonal service, too noisy, bad breakfast

Owner Comment (Hide)
hey there Thanks for the review, we try to make our service as personal as possible, but as I am sure you can imagine with over 300 guests staying with us, in 3 hostels it's a busy place! Our hostel can be noisy, but we pride ourselves on being a great party hostel, so that does involve a bit of noise at times! The breakfast we serve on a morning, is complete free of charge for all our guests, and we provide a great hot breakfast menu, which you get 25% off, this is served until midday daily Hope you enjoy the rest of your travels Many Thanks St Chris Team

There is no kitchen and the breakfast is quite basic

Owner Comment (Hide)
Hey there Thanks for the review, we don't have a kitchen, as we find kitchens and party hostels don't go too well together! We provide a microwave in our chillout room, offer a daily delicious meal in our Belushi's bar for just £3.95 for guests, and offer 25% discount on all food from both menus! The breakfast we serve is free, however we do offer a full breakfast menu, served until midday daily, and you also get 25% of that too. Thanks again for taking the time to leave a review Hope you enjoy the rest of your travels St Christopher's Team

One of the guys at the Front Desk was less than helpful and kind of rude (Nick I think). None of the toilets flushed which lead to gross bathrooms. Location was good and the staff leading social events were top notch! For the money, it was fun and close to things so I would probably stay again.

A value for money hostel regarding its location (proximity to london's centre and tube station) and offered facilities (free wifi access, enclosed pub). Comfortable beds but not enough shower rooms ( Found only one on the 1st floor that my room was located). Enjoyed my stay and will be my first choice when revisiting london

Perfect Hostel! I didnt have any problem during the stay! The staff is helpfull, the location is perfect, and everything works very well! I would recomend to everyone!

Our stay there was awful. We couldn't sleep because of music that came from the hostel's pub. When we complained about the situation, the staff just gave us a pair of earplugs as the only solution to sort out the problem. We couldn't sleep until 3 o'clock in the morning and we missed our free breakfast the day afterwards. Although we booked for two nights, we only spent one night there. We asked for a complaint form, they didn't have it. We paid for sleep but we couldn't. They didn't refund

I had amazing time in hostel. Friendly personal in reception was fantastic. It was the most friendly hostel reception ever as i remember. I"m truly happy that i was there. In hostel internet was not ok because then i went to check my emails and facebook were temporary bloked. Internet should be better and be fixed. Location of hostel is nice near London brige and Tauer brige. Darius Makunas

Loved this place! Staff was super fun and friendly, location is awesome right by the Borough Market and metro, and the bar or the chill out room are good places to pre-game since there's always people hanging out. Only thing is that breakfast ends at 9am and there's also no kitchen, but there's a grocery store right across the street where you can grab a pastry or some cheap prepared food. When I come back to London I'm staying here again!

I liked my stay at the hostel. Have definitely been to better ones but it was still a nice stay. The location of the hostel is perfect and you get good value for money. Next time in London I'll probably gonna stay there again. In the chilling area there was something going on most of the time and its easy to meet new people if you want. Rooms were in good shape but washing facilities weren't that clean.

I was only there for one night, and I ended up with a bad roommate who probably tainted my opinion of the place. I thought it was so-so, finding my room was a but of a maze, but that's just quirky old buildings. Bathrooms were not great, and the beds were quite loud, but overall it wasn't terrible even if it wasn't great. The staff was really friendly and had I stayed longer I would have (I think) enjoyed the adjacent pub, it looked pretty popular anyways.

Great Location, spacious rooms, nice chill out room to meet other travelers. Good bar downstairs and supermarket across the road. Good value for money. Enjoyed our stay, would definitely stay there again.

loved the chill out room and the location was prefect. staff are friendly, very clean rooms and bathrooms, good breakfast

The staff were lovely, and the facilities were exactly enough. I just wish the breakfast had included at least peanut butter or something to have some kind of protein. I know it has to be cheap, but no protein at all for breakfast means you have to eat again in an hour.

Hey Amy! I'm glad you enjoyed your time here with our staff! I will pass the message and tell them that you found them lovely ; ) As for breakfast, we provide cereal, toast, coffee and tea but I hope you didn't miss out on our guest deals outside of the free breakfast: 25% off anything on the menu all day and breakfast specials such as eggs, bacon, sausage and baps for under 2 pounds.
