Hi Thanks for your feedback. On the day in question I checked the bolier and it was working fine so I can only assume that the hot water tank was empty due to everybody using the showers at the same time. Please accept my appologies for any inconvenience caused. regards Russell Newby General Manager

Good location, reasonably clean and good value for money. Reception is located in the pub, which is nice for a drink or two, including a 10% discount if you are staying in the hostel. Enjoyed having breakfast in the same pub with a nice view to the pier, would definitely recommend it.

Hostel was a bit run down, beds weren't very comfy. Had issues with the locks which was really frustating. The bar music was very loud, and could hear from my room until two am every morning. But good location.

The place was very nice!! I can say that it has been one of my best experiences about hostels around the world, actually I have recomended people to go there not just because of the hostel but because of the city and of course staying in St. Cristopher is the best option to enjoy Brighton!!

Was made to change room as the room the gave us was being painted... bit of a nuisance. The room we were put in wasn't even clean and we had to wait a further 10 minutes to actually get in our room. we arrived in brighton at 2pm and got to the hostel around 2 30. Waited at the desk for about 10 mins as there were no staff! The staff had a bit of an attitude except the one guy who helped us out with the TV that didnt even work properly. Average Place but great location! Wouldn't stay here again..

Hi thanks for your feedback. Please accept my appologies regarding the room. We are currnetly re-decorating some of our rooms, but through error the room you were checked into should have been blocked off on our system. sorry for any inconvenience caused. Regards Russell Newby General Manager

It was very noisy. The heating was off during my entire stay and there was a window that would not close which made it very noisy as all the sounds from the street and the downstairs bar got into the room. There was also no common room apart from down in the bar/pub that I could find.

Took one hour for food to arrive, without telling us about delay. They mis advertised the price and wouldnt help rectify so we paid alot more than what was on booking page. We were travelling in a big group and when entering the room one of the nights 2 staff members stopped us and accused us of taking randoms in to the rooms, they did a head count of all beds and found we had paid for everyone then apologised.

Hi thanks for your feedback. I'm sorry you had to wait longer than usual for your food, however with a small kitchen such as the one we have, waiting time can increase when lots of orders come in at the same time. As for your booking, we will always honour the amount on the booking confirmation that is emailed out to guests so I can only assume you must have miss-read the booking page. I would also like to point out that we take the security of our guests very seriously and this is why my staff will check for 'randoms' when people try to enter the building late at night. Many thanks

Great location. We expected new years eve to be a bit loud during the night but the other nights we had a lot of disturbance such as fire alarm, drunk people knocking on the door, neighbors not acting respectful.

Hi thanks for your feedback. I can only appologise if some of our other residents in the hostel were overly rowdy. Unfortunately some people take no account for people who wish to sleep, especially during the festive season. Can i suggest next time you contact reception so we can deal with these guests. Many thanks

Better Breakfast, like offering fruit! - Also locks on the bathroom doors! Excellent bar and location though! Great prices for the beverages! And the room had some character and the staff were really nice, but not suitable for a long stay as there was no hostel atmosphere or lights for individual beds! And no lockers, which is what the description promised!

Hi thanks for your feedback. I'm glad you had you a good stay and enjoyed our bar. I have noted your comments regarding the lock in your bathroom and our maintenance man will fix it tomorrow. We do have lockers under each bed and there are additional lockers in our club for passports and laptops. We hope to see you again soon next time you return to Brighton Many thanks Russell Newby General Manager
