We've really enjoyed our week in Amsterdam. We slept at the private room on the 7th floor, room 704. There's one thing i would like to say about it: it was very dusty. We had to sneeze al the time and our noses were stuffy after an half-hour stay in the room. Probably because of the carpet, but i think there are ways to improve that. But besides this, we really enjoyed it!

the guy that seems to be the manager of the staff is quite rude to people checking in and out, the rest of the staff was good. i would not recommend this hostel if you are not looking for party in amsterdam it is noisy, but maybe not as noisy as you would expect from a hostel in red light district.

Great place, situated right in the middle of all the action with a nice bar and smoking area, room was spacious and pretty well decorated. Staff are friendly and can point you in the right direction if you're looking for things to do. Will be staying again on our next visit.

The hostel was in a very good location, had helpful staff. The only problem is the noise which wouldn't stop and takes the sleep away, but i guess it's red light district so nothing much to do there..

I can't say enough good things about this hostel: comfy beds, very clean! the drain got clogged and when I told them, it was fixed same day! wifi not avail in all rooms, but i wasn't there for that! bar has a smoking room which is great - located on the oldest street, in the heart of Amsterdam's 'sub-culture'. There's a lot of noise on the street outside, but if you're not a restless sleeper, it won't bother you. Don't change a things guys (mostly the price!)!!! Will be back!

The only thing i can positivly say is the location and the bar. Some staff are really nice but some of the staff are just like a bad cop. I felt like I'm in a summer camp where the staff warns you for everything. They should know the difference between 16 year old and 30 year old. The bed and the firnuture in the rooms are really bad quality even we stayed in private double room. The bed is just made of sponge. Very unfonfortable. It's very easy to find similiar quality hostel with lower price.

I thought everything about the hostel was fab but there was one member of staff and older man with long hair begin reception who happened to be very rude and patronising. Apart from Thr everything was wonderful just avoid the grumpy old jobs worth!

Great, great hostel. Right by the red light district, and very close to fam square as well. The lockers under the bed are very useful, as I fit my entire eurotrip backpack in there and thus didn't ever have to worry (just bring your own lock). Staff was friendly, and the bartenders at the common bar were great. Only problem is that their common room is basically a bar, which can lead to bar-like clicks, but that is just a small complaint about an otherwise outstanding hostel. Book here!

The location was really great, right in the red light district. The rooms were decorated in the Amsterdam theme and the hostel bar boasted great character. There was no kitchen or other facilities however. But the bar/restaurant downstairs was reasonably priced and good food.

Staff were pretty great. However I was disappointed by the lack of internet service (worked 2 days out of 10!) There Lockers are NOT big enough. We had to sit for 5 hours waiting for a room so we had some place to put our backpacks! I was so tired after a 8 hour overnight flight, (awake for 24 hours) and we had to wait 5 hours in the lobby until 2pm. They were not flexible with that time at all and stated absolutely NO earlier time. So we slept in their front lobby. : )

I found my stay with St Christophers very enjoyable. We had a few mix ups with out room, which the manager wasn't happy about and this made us feel a bit uncomfortable, but other than that everything was great. The location is very central and all the staff are nice and helpful. The bar and club attached to the hostel are lots of fun, and affordable. Thanks for a great stay!

This just really wasn't my kind of place - you need to walk through a bar to get to reception, the room smelt a bit gross and was generally pretty tired and old. There was a fair bit of noise from the street. I wouldn't bother staying here again.

Breakfast was great. The meals in the bar are also excellent and well priced. Didn't find the noise from downstairs bad at all but the noise from the church bells kept us up!

Good facilities, great breakfast and very central to all the action in Amsterdam if that is what you want. Being an older person I found the lack of soundproofing in the dorm from street noise very frustrating. Being so close to the red light district meant many loud mouthed people passing by all night, which led to very disturbed sleep.
