This is an all around good hostel, great location with anything you need within a few minutes walking distance. Nice bar and restaurant that has a outdoor area so you can chill and smoke in the sun. If you're looking for a good few days away in Amsterdam I would definitely consider this hostel.

I came to the St. Christoper's for one night with friends. We had a really nice time in Amsterdam and the Hostel was a perfect choice. We all liked it a lot. The rooms are small but clean. The food is outstanding.

awesome location but there's no kitchen or laundry. Its more like staying in a very cheap hotel. Free towels and shampoo though!

Awesome say! Everyone was so relaxed and friendly. The rooms were way too hot though? Had to have the door open and 2 fans going? Prices were a bit high but Amsterdam generally is so all good!

Cleanliness got a low score because our sink was clogged; I think someone vomited in the sink and people would still use the sink (to brush their teeth or wash their hands) so it smelled of sulfur.

Please inform the customers beforehand of the special character of the so-called "sexy room" on floor 7 - the pictures are highly disturbing!!

Very helpful and friendly staff. It was a little bit of a wait to talk to them, but the breakfast was very good and it's location was great, very close to the whole city center and within walking distance of all the major sights, no need for any public transportation. Definitely recommend it and would stay there again if I ever went to Amsterdam. Only thing off: bathrooms were VERY small in rooms.

Wifi coverage could be a little batter - was unable to get any in the room I was in on level 2 for first 2 nights. Had to sit on landing or go downstairs. Guy in the room I was in on level 5 was able to use his laptop though.

Depends on what you are looking for. It's not a calm place, but great to get to know nice people all the time. The room was great, very clean, the bathroon had a very good size. The rooms are noisy, not a problem for me. It is just if you want to go to bed early. The best is hang out in the bar downstairs til late. Perfect location! The only weak point is the staff, but I can't generalize it. Some of them are really kind and helpfull, on the other hand some of them are not that nice.

Very good rooms and facilities, a good atmosphere all around. It really surpassed my expectations. But there was just a simple design error on our room. The door of the shower as open on all sides (including a big hole right in the middle) and so it was impossible to take a shower without wetting most of the bathroom. Luckily the maids cleaned that daily but still a bit annoying nevertheless.

One of the best I've ever been to. Clean dorm, good breakfast, cool bar, safe boxes on reception and elevator.

This is by far the best hostel I have stayed in. Very clean and nice touches like providing soap and shampoo. The bar area is a great place to meet other travelers.

The location of the hostel is great, within walking distance to all the major things in Amsterdam. I knew there was a bar underneath so I was prepared for that - and that fact that they give you free earplugs at the reception is a nice touch as well. The walls in the corridors themselves are quite thin and I found people walking past my room and slamming doors were more annoying than the music downstairs. All in all I got what I paid for, no surprises.

Central. Too much teenager-party-monsters style. Not cheap, but also not expensive. Good breakfest, nice rooms. One very bad issue: they did not let us leave our backpacks in the reception while waiting for the checking time (as we arrived 2 hours earlier, tired). The receptionist said we couldn't leave the bags there (even though we saw some bags there and in the week before this rule did not exist. She said we needed to use the common closet: paying (expensive) a key for 24 hour...
