Historical, beautiful and affordable! This is a charming garden district gem located on hip Magazine Street, just a 25 minute walk from the Quarter or a 5 min bus ride.
There are 75 pretty, private rooms with white wicker furnishings, handmade quilts and all bed types. All rooms have private bath, air conditioning and TV (with cable). Free high speed wireless internet access. Kitchen facilities available. A coffee shop is right next door Cable TV in the sitting room. A restaurant is on site serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
There is a landscaped courtyard, swimming pool and wraparound balconies to complete the relaxing New Orleans ambiance.
Free on site parking is available and the internet can be accessed in the sitting room (common room) for those of you with laptops. German and English is spoken.
Note: price is per person and tax is not included (14% tax and Occupancy fee $3/night).
Note that we charge a one night deposit to your card additional to the 10% deposit charged by hostelworld. This will be fully refunded if you cancel at least 24 hours prior to arrival.
***Cancellation and payment for special events: for Mardi Gras, JazzFest, play-off games, etc, cancellation must be made at least 30 days prior to arrival. Cancellation for New Year's and Sugar Bowl is 2-weeks prior to arrival. Pre-payment for Superbowl 2013 is (by check only) payable to St Vincent's Guesthouse, 1507 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA 70130. No cancellation for SuperBowl 2013. Include your name, date of arrival and reference number on your check.***

Latest Review
The sheets and linens were dirty, worn out and ill-fitting. The bathroom was filthy, the sink was coming out of the wall, the TV didn't work, there was no fan. The only way this place stays in business is because they're the cheapest in town.
