We had a wonderful stay. And we loved the breakfast sandwiches made by John. Everyone was very friendly and the ambiance was outstanding.

I would not recommend this place during the cold months. There was no heat.

Overall a great value place. You might want to bring your own linens because the provided ones are pretty stained and nasty.

Lost my reservation. Mismatched bedding makes it feel like it's donated or something. Not all together bad but some improvements would make it a much bettet hostel.

I stayed in the dorm room for there days. There's no air con, no house keeping and not enough blanket. The room is stink and some beds were broken. They got no map, no detergent an no activity. Some staff were trying to be nice, but they were amateur. Usually I don't rate. But the hostel is just too bad. I have to say something otherwise they will never improve.

The place was filthy - stayed 1 night, and moved out quick smart. Would never go back again.

The hostel is completely dirty and stinky! It smells gas, urine, mold and so on... The rooms are never cleaned up and we cannot walk in the bathrooms, so slippery they are! And I can say roomS and bathroomS in the plural because I was in 3: the first that they gave us, was already occupied for another couple; the second had tons of hair on the sheets on the bed and the towels had a lot of holes! In the third the lights couldn't be turned off: they were blinking above our heads! Horrible holiday!

This was a horrible experience. The room had bedbugs and there were 2 people living there permanently (worked for the hostel). The hostel was dirty and not properly taken care of. I woke up multiple times during the night because one of the workers living in the room had his alarm going on all night and in the morning I had multiple bites from bedbugs, that bothered me for the next WEEKS. It was the worst hostel I have ever been in. Do yourself a favour, go somewhere else!

they didnt have our booking, and after a while they gave us a room that someone else lived in.. but after that we got a nice room. But was two dead cochroaches on the floor when we arrived in our room, and five alive during our stay. besides from that it was a nice stay. And taxes are added to your bill, and a fee for the making of a convention centre somewhere in new orleans...

The hostel is pet friendly which meant that our room smelled like dog!!! So disgusting! The room was extremely dirty with lots of insects around and the lock to the door was not the most safe lock I have encountered! The hostel is fine for a night or two but I would never recommend the place to friends!

This place is not even a hostel. When i arrived they did not have my booking record. My room was dirty with cockroach lavar on the walls and bugs in the draws. The guesthouse used to be an orphanage and apparently it is haunted. It feels eery walking around at night especially when the lights dont work. The hostel is a good 30 minute walk to canal street and about 20 minutes to the greyhound bus station. Also when i wanted to pay cash they didnt have cash for the money i was going to give them.

A good surprise. We booked a double room with a friend, $25/person, and expected limited comfort. Instead we had a very nice room, full of character, nice furniture, with a bathroom recent and pretty, towels, little bars of soap provided, etc. even a TV The location is convenient, 15 min away from the French Quarter by feet and on a touristic street. The staff didn't pay much attention in us and we didn't go in activities with other people of the hostel so I can't give my advice on that.

Huge, converted, turn-of-the-century orphanage that's been converted. 14-foot ceiling and some interesting decor. In a old portion of New Orleans undergoing re-gentrification with lots of beautiful old homes being remodeled. Cool coffee shop across the street.

Lovely experience, just some roudy neighbors in the morning, but that is to be expected in NOLA.
