I stayed for a few nights. The staff were really nice but they didn't know much about Edinburgh, even simple directions were not known. The place was nice enough and the people staying there were great. It was a good experience. I stayed for a few nights. Only problem was that the lockers/cages under the beds were broken so you couldn't use them so you coiuldn't lock anything away but overall would definitley go back again. The double room was a very small attic, avoid it if you are claustrophobic. The check in time, 3 PM, seems too late and the check out time, 10 AM, too early. However, they will not kick you out if you oversleep! Besides that it was a good stay. The double room was a very small attic, avoid it if you are claustrophobic. I was surprised that staff on duty were unable to generate a computer receipt for my Cash payment for sccomodation where my deposit payment had earlier been made against my credit card. I had to settle for a computer generated Invoice for the balance endorsed manually in writing with " Paid Cash" and a staff member's signature. The hostel was in an excellent location and within wali=king distance of most attractions. The room was a nice size although it was very cold as the heating was not turned on. The curtains didn't fit the windows but it wasn't very bright so it didn't bother us much. lovely city and lovely hostel and the restaurant had fabulous food!! throuoghly enjoyed the stayThe hostel was in an excellent location and within wali=king distance of most attractions.
