Features like the roof top garden are closed, which is a trouble when it is listed as one of your fire escapes. Other rooms are locked from one side but can be reached through other passages. Really weird place, stay somewhere else if you can.

Owner Comment (Hide)
The roof garden has been locked for the safety of guest and also for unsupervised your children. This is not used as a fire escape as there are other escape routes in the hostel.

Nothing positive to say about this hostel. Absolutly no cleaning has ever been done during our stay. Everything is disguting. The kitchen is so dirty that we would rather go eat outside than consider using it. Regarding the bathrooms it was even worst but we didn't any other choice. Really needs a hygien inspection. The free wi-fi is only working around reception area. Worst backpacker experienced in New Zealand. We would never recommend this place to anyone.

Showers and toilets are not cleaned daily and also the kitchen was kinda dirty. The floor in the kitchen was sticky. It is pretty cold inside and a heater is turning off so often. You have to labeled your food but there are no labels and in the fridge was the air more warm than in the kitchen. You can not drink and eat in the dorm rooms. Eat I understand, but drink. Sorry I will not go out from the room with every drop of water which I need to drink especially in the night.
