the staff are lovely and make the hostel as fantastic as it is. they are warm and welcoming, accommodating and can become your friends if you want them to. i have gone back to this hostel and had the same quality experience as the first time. i recommended this hostel to my friends and they also had a very positive experience and intend to go back. you will not regret going to this hostel and will only want to come back.

Hostel ok but beware of the airport transfer service, they advertise it at a fixed price but our transfer to the airport used the meter (despite me checking with the reception) and we only JUST had enough money, could have been a nasty situation. When I emailed the hostel afterwards to let them know they weren't even polite enough to reply, so they obviously don't care about the stress caused. Not impressed.

Good location, near to an underground station. The staff was very helpfull. If you find it too noisy ask to turn on the air conditioning and close the windown.

Staff is extremely friendly and helpful! Made the best use of our time in Rio thanks to Rosana, Roberta, Gustavo, Eddie, and others. Airport bus stop and Metro are within walking distance, as are shops and banks. Breakfasts had variety, and were generous. Rooms and bathrooms kept clean. Good opportunities to interact with other travelers in the large common area. Will definitely return !

It's in a great location, pretty close to a mall, subway station, supermarkets and many other facilities, so you could make the most of it exploring it. Organize tours,offer tips, spend time planning with your guests and make them feel home while at your home. You also need to pay attention to your trash cans, as they tend to pile up really quick.

Fantastic base to meet people and to explore Rio from. 2 minutes from the metro which will get you to any of the sights or beaches. Great friendly staff too. Highly recommended

Great hostel, great location in the centre of Botafogo, only a few minutes to the Metro station. Rooms are big and beds comfortable, only a bit tipsy if sleeping on the upper bed :) Air conditioning was the only one that really worked of all the hostels we stayed in while in Brazil, so very pleasant during Rio's hot nights. Breakfast buffet is great, kitchen often very crowded and sometimes not that tidy. Staff is very helpful and they're offering various tours and an airport transfer.

Only stayed for one night but liked what we saw. Dorm rooms are laid out really well with individual storage, lockers and reading lights. Security is really good, as is breakfast. Staff really helpful. Plenty of common areas to hang out in. Would totally recommend.

Great place, great location with only a 5 min walk to the metro. Area is safe, even after dark with a lot of good places to eat. The delivered home made food for 10 reals is great value if you´re too lazy to go out and get food. Smallish place which makes it easy to meet people. Not a party place but at the same time, you won´t have trouble finding people to go out with, especially on a weekend. one minus is that the lockers are too slim for backpacks. But you´ll fit all of your valuables in it.

this is not a hostel to stay more than a few days. Premises are ok. Washing your clothes strictly not allowed. Internet is slow, unreliable. Toilets are dirty, cleaned only once a day. Edi, the manager is the only great thing about this hostel.

Best Hostel we have stayed in South America. Location is 2 blocks from the metro and all amenties are so close. The hostel is spotless clean, we were blown away. Dorms are spacious with bed lights and lockers, we slept like babies. Cloud and Rosana are such welcoming hosts, we felt so at home. Really great vibe there, so easy to chill out and have fun. Absolutely recommend this hostel for the best stay in Rio!! We will definitely be back..

Great location next to metro. Good security. Purpose built hostel but rooms too small and bathrooms even smaller! The staff seemed quite friendly up until the owner was a little pushy regarding eating at the hostel BBQ - with so many great eats close by it was unnecessary and she made us feel uncomfortable. poor breakfast. A shame as it has great potential!

BEST hostel ever!!!!!!!!! Great location and very very clean. The staff is amazing, they are like a family and made me feel like I am home and that is why I decided to stay and live in the hostel for a few months.

This may be the best hostel in hole south america! It´s very clean, safe, the staff is great (and they speak english - thank good) and the atmosfear is friendly. The only small thing we can complain about is the breakfasts. Small and not very fresh if you arrive late. Otherwise, it is great!!

I simply loved the place! The location is very strategic to move around in a middle class neighborhood. Staff were helpful & nice. Breakfast & diners were super nice. The facilities, rooms, towels, sheets were clean. I definetely recommend the place.

As the 4 bedroom on the top floor is next to the balcony and living room it gets really noisy at night when you are trying to sleep, i suggest you have a notice where it should be quiet after 12am so people can sleep as this is common in other hostels. The doors for the showers are great as they get jammed when trying to close them. The key card system on the doors is great. The rooms should have a fan as it gets really hot during the day.

We were very happy with the cleanliness and comfort of the hostel. Staff were great.
