Very friendly and helpful staff. They serve with warm heart and enthusiasm. It had been raining and freezing for the past few day of my stay in Taipei. The staff arranged a fan for drying our shoes, and blankets to keep us warm. Thank you very much!

Literally the best hostel I've ever stayed at!!! It's clean, beautifully decorated, conveniently located, and provides everything you could possibly need. The staff is extremely friendly and fluent in English. Star Hostel takes hostels to a whole other level. Definitely will come back! Highly recommend!

I love this hostel, and I always check for room availability whenever I go Taiwan. The bed is especially comfy and the staff are the best! 11 over 10 if you ask me, the extra '1' for going out of their way to help you. Xp Looking forward to stay in Star Hostel again!

This was the best hostel I've ever been to. I stayed in the private room and it was like a hotel. The piblic areas were really funky and comfy. They had these cool elevated treehouse like structures with beanbag chairs. They also had asian-style low tables and regukat tables. The layout was also carefully thought out with some areas good for socializing and other areas more secluded for the more shy lone traveler. Staff members were also hardworking, friendly and helpful.

This really is one of the best hostels in ALL of Taipei. I have stayed in quite a few. The place is immaculate in terms of clean, beds are comfortable, elevator if you have big bags. Truly they have thought of EVERYTHING. Staff are very friendly and willing to help, speak great English. Free breakfast is one of the best I've seen at a hostel - fruit, waffle, bread, eggs cooked, and a choice of spreads for your food. It should be called "shooting star" hostle because they are that great!

The hostel provided a safe, modern and fairly clean accommodation in the heart of Taipei. The location is in walking distance (~7min) from Taipei Main Station as well as Ningxia Night Market. The rooms (I had a double room) are modern but pretty small. Walls might appreciate a new painting. Sometime, room equipment does not fit room charasteristics so well (tiny sink, towel holder not reachable from shower area, TV blocks desk, huge unused entrance floor, double bed a bit small).

Best hostel I've ever stayed in. Private rooms were affordable and better than many hotels I've been to - plus beautiful bathroom and powerful shower. Location was brilliant & staff were always helpful. Atmosphere was a bit flat and the having to take your shoes off thing got a bit annoying since the slippers they give you do not fit large western male feet but overall I loved it. Facilities were beautiful, breakfast was tasty (though quite light by western standards) and I slept brilliantly. :)

Good location with plenty of dining options. Place is nicely done up although at times it feels claustrophobic.

Staff is superb, room is immaculately, common lounge is spacious and a great place to meet people from around the world. Location is minutes from the Taipei train and bus station. Lots of good mom and pop places to eat nearby. Excellent choice!

This is a lovely place with a great location. It's very close to the Main Station so it makes travel to the airport, around and outside of the city super easy. It feels more like a hotel than a hostel, with lots of groups of travelers from neighboring countries, so if you're a backpacker or traveling solo, it's not the kind of place where you'll meet loads of people, but still a good place to stay. Very cool decor.

After the first great stay at Star Hostel, we came back again and found that our second stay even better. New coffee machine available all days for free hot latte, espresso, hot chocolate and milk tea is a plus. The staffs were all caring and supportive, we feel like home. Thanks Sunny and Jessie for your warm welcome and bright smiles.

We booked the mixed private ensuite. Liked that the sink was separate from the shower. Very clean and cosy. Bartender served lovely cocktails, breakfast was yummy and the common area facilitates interaction between guests. Concierge was friendly and helpful, spoke fluent English and Mandarin. Pity there was no lift to the 5th floor, so those with heavy luggage have to drag them up the stair. Overall a wonderful stay.
