Stargate Amsterdam Reviews

I send my brother, boyfriend and two others to this hostel for their birthdays. After reading reviews we were a little concerned to say the least. However, the boys came back and informed me that the hostel was perfect for them :-) They had DVD's to watch and a playstation and plenty of room. They loved the location, it was close to all the main areas they wanted to visit. The staff that they saw were very nice to them and were very helpful and accommodating.The reviews dont do the place justice

I am converted! Looking at all the negative comments I've found online it just doesn't make sense...this place was perfect! Sure you need to be able to tolerate a bit of whacky bacci inside but that's a bonus if anything! Great location, fresh lick of paint on the front door compared to Google earth as well so it doesn't look so crimewatch! 5/5 for what we were looking for! Enjoy your holiday everyone!

We arrived at 10pm like we told the Stargate , but we had to wait up to 5 hours before we could check into our hostel as it was not ready , we were all wrecked from the drive and flight and just wanted to sleep so we werent happy about the start of our weekend. But other then that (and the 50 flight of stairs to our appartment) everything was fine. Location could not have been better. We had no hot tub either like advisted ?! Great weekend though.
