Set in the peaceful village of Strome Ferry, Stationmaster's Hostel offers a warm welcome to everyone. With only 20 beds, it is relaxed and friendly!

Located in a rural location, it is surrounded by natural beauty. There are woodland walks within walking distance and Stationmaster's Hostel overlooks Loch Carron where there are regular sightings of dolphins, otters and other wildlife.
Stationmaster's Hostel is an excellent base from which to explore the Isle of Skye, Glenelg, Torridon and the Applecross Peninsula. Eilean Donan Castle, wildlife boat trips and the picturesque village of Plockton are all within a 15 minute drive away.
As Strome Ferry is a small village, there are no shops or pubs within walking distance. The nearest shops can be found in Balmacara, Kyle of Lochalsh and Lochcarron (all about 10 miles away).There are excellent kitchen facilities so please remember to bring all your provisions with you! (Food, drink etc.)
Pubs and restaurants can be found in Plockton, 7 miles away. There are trains and taxi's connecting the two locations if you don't want to drive!

Beautiiful location and a very nice house. Our room was lovely and very clean but the rest of the shared areas especially the kitchen were very poorly cleaned. It was advertised as including breakfast but the only food around was cheap own brand bread or rice krspies/cornflakes- not what you expect for fifty pounds a night. Ewan the owner seemed really nice but he took our cash and disappeared for the rest of the stay and did not even show us to our room. Big noisy tour group ruined atmosphere.
