It's one of the best budget hostel I've stayed at. The room was big enough and super clean, and we had a balcony! The location is ideal, in the heart of Waikiki, 2 minutes from the beach and the shops. Would definitely recommend!

They have introduced a $10 pppn fee for 'amenities', which is not optional. This means the price you read on hostelworld and the one you pay are quite different. I was quoted an outstanding balance of $691 and when I got there I was asked to pay $987. This still isn't expensive compared to other locations in Waikiki, but it is an unpleasant shock.

They did not take my deposit I made with Hostel world off of the nightly fee and am currently trying to deduce where that money went to. They also do not take cash transactions which I found a bit annoying since we have to pay additional credit card fees abroad. Aside from this, the staff was friendly and the room was great.

We LOVED staying here! Even though it was hard for the receptionist to find our reservations through hostelworld.com (don't know why... we made reservations a month early) we had a fantastic time. The location couldn't be better. Any tours that need to be picked up are picked up right across the street at the Hyatt right at the doorstep and the beach is ONE block away! It can't get better... right in the middle of everything AND a cool place to stay with free movie rentals (awesome) and wifi!
