Rude staff, semi clean. No atmosphere of a hostel, but it's not aimed at that. Downtown LA sucks. Don't stay there. Pretty dangerous to be honest. We only stayed there because was close to staples centre, but too dangerous to walk there.

Did not have lockers in my room, so I did not get one. Everytime someone checked in our keycards stopped working and the desk did not ask to see ID or anything to give us a new one, which made me feel unsafe. Breakfast starts at 7:30 which is a bit late. There are no sinks in toilet or shower rooms which is dirty. Only microwave and refrigerator in kitchen no stove, no community utensils or plates.

The hostel was closed when I arrived even though I had booked and paid a deposit. The staff were rude and didn't help me to find another hostel. The hostel looked nice from the reception area.
