This hostel was fantastic. It was perfectly located to everything. The staff was very helpful in assisting us with where to eat at a reasonable price and where to go for bike rentals, etc. The place is big, clean, and the showers are nice.

Nice and clean rooms, good breakfast. But hostel lokated a little far away from the center , about 20 minutes walk. Next time I'd choose a hostel somewhere near Red Light District. Also I think it's not a place for those who travelling alone, it's too big, there is no common rooms like in small hostels.

pros: free wifi, free breakfast which is greatest ever cons: maybe too large? a little bit far from touristic sites. amsterdam is hard to find a cheap living, this one is not bad.

A huge, professionally run hostel. Difficult to meet people because there were mostly large groups of young people staying there. Little place in the rooms. My bed was awful! It was shaking by a little movement from the neighbour. We had a really HOT shower in our room..Too hot to wash your hair. Very friendly and helpful stuff! Good breakfast - they had both fruits and different kinds of sausages. In general, good hostel.

Despite the hostel being very clean and safe with excellent breakfast I did not enjoy my stay due to the following reasons: - you have to buy a towel! there's no deposit on it. -you have to pay to leave your bag on the premises if you come before check-in time. This is outrageous! - there is no soap in the room. -you have to pay for the Internet if want to use a computer. -unfriendly staff at the reception who would rather print out a useless paper with the wrong map than actually help you.

The hostel is very large, and the common areas are not good for meeting people. So if you are travelling alone, this is not the place. You have to make your own bed, not what I want on holidays. We stayed 4 nights, the shower was only cleaned once. Location is perfect for the park, but if you want to go into the 9 streets, its a 20min walk or a 5 euro tram ride. Security is over the top, 4 checks to get into our room! and my key card stopped working for no reason. The free breakfast is good.

Not a backpacker party hostel and however that's good or bad of course depends on what your up to. But to get sleep in the night it's a benefit. Good local communications with the tram nearby. A lot of museums nearby. And the included breakfast is awesome (if you consider that you're at a hostel, a ordinary hotel breakfast is better though)!

It would be better if wifi can be available in the room but not just the ground floor

Horrible shower, no locker for your bagages and steping on the ground during the night may wake up everyone.

This hostel is HUGE, well located, safe, clean, etc. If you look for something small, familiar, friendly this is not for you. It's more like a big hotel. If you are looking for just a good place to stay, you can't get wrong here.

The staff at desk on the night which we arrived was very unsupportive. The lift was not working. No help provided in getting the microwave oven for warming up milk for kids. The worst Hostel I've ever stayed in.

There should be at least one kitchen/pantry in each block.

We asked if we could check out a bit late on the last day as it is quite early at 10:30. We were told no as they needed all the time to clean the rooms. This was funny because when we checked in the room hadn't been cleaned, we know this as there was an open carton of milk in it and pubes in the sink.
