The hostel was ok but nothing spectacular, just very big. The room smelled damp, and its a bit far from Amsterdam's centre. It was also expesnsive for what I have paid in other places around Europe.

Would have liked to have somewhere to have a cup of tea. It was very hot whilst we were there and could not open windows enough to cool the room off. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay very much.

Great location and friendly staff.

Awesome location!! Only bad thing is they there wasn't air conditioning and it was the hottest hostel I have ever stayed in...super uncomfortable in the rooms and in the lounge because it was so hot! And the windows wouldn't open all the way. Good breakfast tho! The location makes up for any negative things tho. Also bathroom connected to room which was awesome.

Everything else was fine, except a) didn't expect that a twin private ensuite would have bunk beds, and b) WHY ARE THERE NO POWER SOCKETS IN THE ROOMS???

Only annoyance was buying a bath towel for 4.5 Euro, while other hostels rent for 1 Euro, or provide. Quite a hassle to pack a wet towel.

Not enough outlets in the dorms - one should be able to charge technology next to bed.

Ridiculous to have to pay to use computers, and need more toilets/showers/outlets in room. Not a good atmosphere because so many kids and families.

breakfast is delicate, room is nice, 7 minutes walk to tram station, about half an hour walk to central train station

No wifi in the rooms. They also give you the absolute minimum so you have to pay for towels, no soap in the rooms in the bathroom, no outlets near beds etc.

The hostel was not very well signposted, we had a map so we managed to find our way there eventually!

Great location next to the park. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would have been better with a kitchen and better bathroom facilities in the rooms. The breakfast is great :-)

The hostel was in a good area of the city, and easy to get to from the airport via bus. it was close to the bars and night life and about a 20 min walk from the red light district. The hostel was pretty big and the lobby and walking tour were great ways to meet people. But there was no wifi in the rooms, nor were there any outlets, except for 1 in the bathroom, which was very annoying since I could not charge my phone overnight. The beds were ok.

The only problem I had was with the internet, because you can only access it from the lobby (which is always crowded) and its speed is not so good. On the other hand, the check-in was pretty easy, the staff is really helpful, they packed us breakfast for our last day as we would leave early, the hostel was clean and it's also close to the important points of the city without being in a very crowded place. I'd definitely recommend to stay there, especially if you're traveling with other people.

Managed by friendly and welcoming staff, this hostel is a very nice and safe place to stay in a convenient and restful location overlooking leafy Vondelpark. Multiple services offered onsite (ticket/tour reservations, bike rentals, post box, bar, lobby wi-fi). Easily accessible via public transit from Centraal Station (well-posted directions to hostel - look up!). A bit pricey for basic accommodations but very clean private rooms and a decent breakfast make it a good choice in Amsterdam!

Not many complaints but this is more of a cheap hotel than a hostel. If you want good facilities for a reasonable price (by Amsterdam standards - i.e. pretty expensive) then this is a good place but if you want a good hostel environment (meeting other travellers, cosy lounge etc) then this is not the place.
