The hostel is huge. It´s clean and has an excellent breakfast. It´s a bit far from the center but very easy to arrive by public transport, and it also has connection to all Amsterdam big atractions. As big as it is there´s little interaction between people. No kitchen available for cooking and you cannot bring your own stuff to dring or eat.

Kind of a weird atmosphere but overall really good. Breakfast was great, more than just the cereal and toast standard to hostel. There was more of a hotel feel than anything. Location was great, just a few tram stops from the Center. Only bad thing was no kitchen and you weren't allowed to bring hot meals or food in but you're "welcome to their €15 meals"

This was my first experience in a hostel and it was a much better experience than I ever imagined. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the facility was quite welcoming, clean, and useful. I would highly recommend Stayokay to anyone traveling to Amsterdam

Good value for money, especially on a weekend where some other hostels had rates of 70Euros per night. Good rooms, stayed in 6 bed mixed dorm en suite. Clean, no key deposit or other deposits needed. Big reception with short waits and very helpful. Most tickets available at good rates. Rented a bike, which made access to the center (scenic 20min walk) even easier and was a good value for money.

Great place, great location and great atmosphere. Very recommended.

Great people, food, and atmosphere!

Great staff, nice big hostel, a little ways from downtown in a nice residential area (it's nice to be away from the core if you are around for a few days). Use a bike to travel, best times biking through the city!

a mixed bag... clean, pretty nice building and obviously professionally managed, but dorms are small and crowded, expensive, especially on the weekends, and the place is kind of far from the center of Amsterdam.... wet shower floors are a problem to try and get dressed in... the free breakfast is not bad, the dinner is a good value, and the kitchen staff were incredibly helpful and kind! ...overall, i think i will look to stay somewhere else next time.

this hostel was great. more of a hotel than a hostel. the free breakfast in the morning was more than just some bread and butter which was nice. didn't like how they didn't have a kitchen and actually requested that you not being hot food back to the hostel, because they would rather you buy from their restaurant but it was fine for the couple of nights I was there. hostel is a bit far from the city center so I did get a tram ticket, which Amsterdam is so spread out anyways it worked great

Great place if you're just after a place to sleep. Not so great for meeting new people, it's a huge hostel with not much of a backpacking atmosphere. The neighborhood it's located in is nice though and the staff were okay. Rooms weren't that clean and we found the bathroom a bit dingy.

location is perfect, just metres from the tram and bus stops, clean and comfy rooms, lots of products available for sale (cheap!) from the front desk, helpful staff. toilets were always clean and showers have hot water at all times. buffet breakfast was delicious and had quite a few different options, sweet and savoury. there's a free luggage room you can use if you have a late flight but you still want to go out and about without your suitcases. overall great stay and very affordable price!

Decent place. A little far from the city center (about 40 minutes on foot), but there is also a tram. The lockers aren't free even if you bring your own locks, which was a little annoying. Past that though, they have free continental breakfast, and the rooms were clean and spacious.

clean, massive hostel (more like a hotel). Zero atmosphere even on a weekend, would not recommend for solo travellers looking to meet people. excellent for everyone else.

The staff were absolutely wonderful! We had to check out before breakfast in order to catch our flight, so the staff put a breakfast bag together for us to take with us! Our room was clean and had a great view! We had a great time here!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast offered. Unfortunately, the wifi barely worked. It was pretty far out of town too.

Best hostel I've been to, hard to call it "hostel" :) Pleasant staff, very helpful!

I was allocated to a disabled-friendly room, and the room was huge! The breakfast was good and staff at the front desk extremely helpful. It is located in the residencial area and was a very good chance to explore Amsterdam outside the tourist area.

There are no lockers in the rooms, but they have some downstairs. Security to get into the hostel is good. The hostel is located slightly outside of the center, but has good transportation connections. Breakfast is excellent and staff very helpful.
