The staff were lovely but the hostel is not that great. Its up at least 3 flights of stairs, no elevator. A lot of big groups. The carpet or hallways have a bad smell. I wish they had a self catering kitchen or something.but the breakfast was nice.

Superb hostel! The location is brilliant! it is right opposite to the Blaak station! You can reach the hostel by taking any of the staircases in the cube house complex! The hostel is very neat! Rooms are cool!

It will be little bit hard to find if you go to the cube house at the first time. Private room for two person is really small. It was cold in rainy day beacause of too many windows.

Nice staff, wonderful place in the city

I think it is a great hostel in the heart of Rotterdam - perfect location, friendly and helpful staff members. I found it clean and the included breakfast looked decent to me. I guess, because of its central location and close proximity to bars, it was quite noisy outside during the night, but then again that could have been the case for many central hostels.

Travelling with a large suitcase, I found it difficult location the ramp going up. Had to engage some locals for the hunt and couldn't find it either. They helped carry my bag upstairs and continued the hunt to locate the front door. On the outside, the structure is unique and well photographed. On the inside, I found it bizarre, as sleeping under a pile of empty cardboard boxes. I will stay at other Stayokays, but will not return to this one. Kindest regards Edith

The rooms are all different obviously, given the architectural specificity of the place. Mine was fairly dark, with only 1 electrical plug.... Apart from that, a good value for the money.

Such a cool building! Really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast and the complimentary shower gel was a nice touch. Only shame was wifi didn't work in our room but no major issue :) great location and really friendly staff. More like a hotel.

The best ever youth hostel that I have been staying in. Excellent price by including buffet breakfast. Good location for transportation. Next door to the market with a lot of choices for lunch / dinner at reasonable price. The staff are very warm-hearted and helpful!

Nice stay, nice staff, enjoyed the breakfast. Bunks a little difficult to climb without stepping on the bottom bunk bed. However, got a lovely view of the stars as I went to sleep! Wash basin should be in the same room as the toilet for hygiene, but hostel is overall very clean. Elevator is in the hostel but there are about 2 flights of stairs to get to the hostel itself. Would be nice to have washing machine facilities. Would recommend and would stay again.

1. The hostel had no record of my booking through hostelworld.com and all the 4 ppl dorns were full on that day and i was end up staying in a 7ppl dorn. 2. There was no kitchen or oven in the hostel (I presume a normal hostel will do have at least an oven for heating food) and i could not heat my food bought from a supermarket nearby. 3. I was not allowed to have food other than those sold in the hostel's snack bar in the common area

Unfortunately the student groups are really loud and disturbing. Also the hostel has no possibility to lend dishes. As long as the quality of the served food doesn't go up, the prohibition of food is a pain in the ass.

Very clean and helpful staff. Mix of age ranges- right next to the train station so a lot of people staying there were there for work so not a partying atmosphere or party place in general. Building was very cool! A lot of shopping places. With elocution road signs to get you back to the train station!
