It is a great hostel! The rooms are clean, spacious, there are plenty of toilets and showers and all they are very clean. The common areas are excellent for relaxing or cooking your own food. The only tip we would point out is that the staff working in the breakfast could be a little faster to replace food and utensils. Moreover, it would be nice to have another sink or at least another tap for washing the dishes, as we spent a lot of time queuing for that...
Poor organisation of rooms. Came in and found someone sleeping in my bed. Therefore had to sleep on a spare bed, in which the sheets had not been changed and proceeded to get bitten all over my body by bed bugs! Told the staff in the morning and nothing was done.
Easy to find and location good if you want to get off train and drop bags, but hostel to old town/shopping is 15 min walk. It has a really good kitchen, with a free food section from past travelers, free tea and coffee. Really big rooms. Has noisy doors though that pull shut, electric locks. Beds were fine. It was clean. Could do with another couch in common room.
it was awesome staying here, but couldnt figure out who steffi was :P, but a great place, very friendly staff and cooperative! will stay there every time i go to heidelberg. message for the hostel, it would be nice if you could email me the invoice of my stay with the euros paid. i stayed from 10th to 16th in a mix dorm room number 11, my name Anubhav Syal. thank you! much love!
The staff here is very friendly and the rooms are plenty spacious. It's also really nice to have a kitchen and a lounge, and the breakfast is cheap (3 Euros) and decent. The overall ambiance (with the exception of the industrial elevator leading to the entrance) is really nice and it's very easy to meet people. On the whole I would recommend this to any budget traveler.
I loved my stay at Steffies Hostel. Wish all the other hostels I'd stayed at in Europe were as lovely. I was sad to leave actually, breakfast was wonderful and excellent value.
the hostel stuff should put a large sign beside the road. It spent us 40 minutes to find this hostel. Actually, it is near the main railway station.
Located close to the train station, but far from everything else. not a long metro ride to get there, but could be better. facilities were great.
Amazing hostel. Large bright hallways and rooms, very friendly staff and as close to the Hbf as you can possibly get. The Lidl under the hostel makes sure you never go hungry or thirsty.
Free bike rental, very kind staff, central hostel in an amazing city. The chill out room is fantastic!!!! Simple, though cozy.
This was an average-good hostel. The showers could really do with updating. Even the toilets need towels or dryers in there. Not very helpful. So yes, needs to be cleaner. One huge advantage was free use of computers if they were available. Surprisingly they were often available when I wanted to use them. Nice small feel to the place. Nice having the kitchen and the option to self-cater though I never ended up cooking.
no atmosphere or occasion to meet people, the location was good for the railway station but far from the ares where everything worth visiting is. on the other hand it was very clean and wifi was working well in all areas.
This is a very interesting place to stay. It is in an old tobacco factory, and though first impressions are slightly ominous with the outside a bit dreary and an industrial lift your access to the hostel, it is a very nice place to stay. And you'll get a story out of it.

it was perfect rocation to be near the main station. and good clearness. but 3 euro breakfast was poor and the shower room's curtain was shocked.
Overall a very positive environment. Thursday night pub crawl was quite fun.
This hostel is fine, just a little far from the Old Town, which is where most activities are located. There is a tram and bus around the corner though. Nothing to write home about.
nice staffs, clean, spacious and bright bedroom, nice bed, delicious breakfast.
As a solo traveler it was difficult to meet others; a lot of families and groups. Very clean though, nice kitchen and lounge and helpful staff. Located across the street from the bus station but 15 min walk to center of town- however, the hostel has free bikes you can use!
