Thank you for your booking at Stella Jadre Apartments; my address is KAPELICA no. 16 i.e. CHAPEL No.16, behind the small (church)-chapel on Zagreb Road - (corner of Bernard Shaw street.)There are five Stella’s apartments in Dubrovnik; so be careful, please check the address!

*** If you are coming from the AIRPORT with regular AIRPORT SHUTLLE BUS (5.00 Euro’s or TAXI around 33.00 Euro’s ) - it first stops at Pile Gate in front of Old Town Dubrovnik, continuing afterwards to the Main Bus Station in Gruž Port. But, if a bus driver want to stop on ILINA GLAVICA bus station; ( than walking 250 meters down the Zagreb road you will be in front my home ); before Pile Gate avoiding the stairs from the Pile; (ask him at the airport), would be the BEST way! The trip duration is 30 to 40 minutes. If ... once you get off the bus on the PILE GATE, you will see the Hilton Hotel front-on; walk towards the Gate; (do not walk toward the hotel and do not enter in the Old Town), but turn on the left behind DM –shop, you will see the parking place, you will see the stairs (along palm's trees) street is: Uz Posat. Or if you would like to avoid the stairs, you can take the option on Behind the City walls street - second option from Pile Gate , and come up on Zagreb road avoiding the stairs – to the CHAPEL ( 8-10 minutes walking -photos). Maybe you can take the taxi from the Pile Gate 10 Euro’s if you have heavy suitcases. Tell exactly the name of the street to taxi driver: KAPELICA, because he might take you to another Stella apartments –so always check the address or ask him to call me: +38598427969.

***If you are coming from ITALY or SPLIT to FERRY PORT or MAIN BUS STATION - GRUZ, (make the booking one day earlier for the bus ticket from Split. It's very busy in the main season); take the bus No. 8 (or taxi around 10 Euros) - from the Main bus station to avoid the stairs from Pile. Or if you like come up from PILE GATE take the Buses: No. 1 A; 1 B). From Ferry port- the bus station for No. 8 is behind the park close to the Dubrovnik Travel Corner - Information Center; (see the time table + 15 minutes). Please, ask the driver for KAPELICA bus station just in front of the house; first sight of the Old Town - than get off. Driving lasts 10 to 15 minutes towards Old Town...i.e. Kapelica. On your left is Bernard Shaw street and you will see my sign 50 meters up on the street, (Stella Jadre apartments- photos).

*** If you are driving by car from DIRECTION SPLIT – 214 kilometers distance to Dubrovnik; than enjoy the 114 km drive on hihgway to PLOČE. Once there, it is a short drive to the Neum Corridor, territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and outside the EU – short border crossing and control! Approching Dubrovnik and passing Dubrovnik bridge, drive toward OLD TOWN, (also coming from Montenegro) than pass through small tunnel, at the crossing (traffic lights) turn on the left – proceed driving 50 meter and stop at the Public garage and leave the car there: (4.00 Euros per hour in high season, but if you buy the ticket in the office it is 50% cheaper – 50.00 Euros per a day); low season is cheaper. Or come down on Zagreb road until small chapel and first sight of Old Town, stop there for few minutes until you reach me. Or, you can pay for the parking ticket, these are available from newsagents, shops, or through parking meters dotted around the city or by paying via your mobile phone. The exact change is required at the parking meters and the ticket should be displayed on your windscreen. The areas are divided into three zones, Zone 1, Zone 2 and Zone 3, and depending on which zone you park in depends on the price per hour. Zone 1and 2 is immediately around the historic Old City is 4.00 to 2.50 Euros per hour; the other zones are further away from the city center are cheaper.
In the Public garage there is ORYX rent a car office - Zagreb road. The city bus tickets can be both in the bus, the price is 15 Kuna’s, or 12 Kuna’s at the kiosk - (2 euros) - ticket is valuable for 1 hour.
Once you're above the Old Town in front my house, I shall show you a shortcut to avoiding the steps. This neighborhood is quiet, and you need only 5 minutes walking down the road you are in the center; and very close to the apartment is a bakery, mini and super market, public garage!

The majority of the steps are either on the northern and southern parts even in the Old Town town; the location is very nice if you like to book the apartment inside the walls! But it can be noise and crowded. The market sets up 5am/5.30 a.m. and bells ring in the church a 6 a.m., so if you are a light sleeper this will cause you some problems including late at night the music from coffee shops.

Maybe, if you text me 0038598427969 on your arrival so I could come on the ZAGREB ROAD and meet you ...! Or ask taxi driver to call me (and drive you to KAPELICA -CHAPEL no.16), and please, be aware of peoples or even taxi drivers who might offer you some other accommodations or Stella apartments for lowers price but questionable quality, or take you to other accommodation.
Also, please SMS (texting) me if you are late, or want to cancel your reservation only five days before your arrival send an e-mail, i.e. if you want check out early, have to do it three days minimum before.
PAYMENT: as agreed; Kuna’s or Euro’s, (only cash) - but only official exchange rate at the BANKS (not from all MINI ATM BANKS). If you have booked the apartments through Hostrelworld.com they charge only for the commission-deposit, so...the rest of the amount should be paid to the owner i.e. to me.

You'll have to surrender your passport at least for a few minutes, because apartment owners will do this registration process for you; recording your ID on a form that must be filed for the Police and Tourist office.

Sorry but I do not accept credit cards, or any other ways of payment.

I am looking forward to the pleasure of your visit.
Best regards,
