Staff was fun, but not overly helpful. Also, the shared bathrooms never seemed to be that clean. Watch out for the beds and pillow! Both are made of a very loud plastic and my bed was broken so I had to sleep at an angle each night.

Not the place for a quiet stay, but if your young and want to have a great time there is no better option. Had two nights at the hostel and was sad to leave, wish i had more time. Awesome staff and guests, great place to experience Rio from.

very nice hoste. good breakfast, hot showers, nice staff. the beds and pillows are all vinyl covered which is a bit uncomfortable. had to move rooms because i found heaps of little cockroach type bugs crawling on me in the middle of the night. Dorms are quite small and theres a lot of noise from the road and the bar upstairs. Was a good place to stay for location to the beach and able to easily catch buses and metro to the sights.

It was clean as much as it could be but... I hated the shower & toilet combination in on my floor. That is why I moved out.

Decent enough hostel, would definitely need earplugs if staying in rooms at the back, however there always seems to be something so perhaps not the best place if you?e looking for a quite time in Rio. Great staff, extremely helpful and knowledgeable. just down the road from the beach, and a couple of blocks from the metro meant it was easy to move around.
