There was a warm welcome on arrival. Be warned you have to pay in cash for your stay, luckily we had 50 on us otherwise im not sure how it would work. It was a great location to stonehenge but I wouldnt stay here unless you have a car or are prepared to walk/ cycle everywhere as the nearest bus stop is over 1 mile away. Breakfast is extra and we had the cooked. It was alright but for being on a farm I would expect better. Kitchen staff were not really present. Overall a good stay.

This could be a fantastic hostel but it needs a manager in charge, rooms good, bedlinen fine but when my husband asked for a dry tea towel he was given one which had obviously been dried but not washed!! Members kitchen a disgrace - mouldy food in fridge surely warden is responsible for checking this, pens to mark owner and date of food put in fridge would be an easy way of stopping this. Fan over cookers not working as full of grease, broken another guest said it had been like that for 3 y

The hostel is in the middle of nowhere. It was a 30 to 40 pound cab ride from the bus station and once you get the hostel there is nothing around. If you don't have a rental car, don't go here. Also to call a cab there was no pay phone, and also spotty cell service. I had to use the staff members cell phone. They don't accept debit /credit cards. The rooms were like military barracks. overall with cab fares and nothing to do close by it isn't worth it

My only criticism was that it was not possible to book a bed in a dormitory - had to book a room to myself which made it more expensive. But otherwise a good place to stay. Thank you

Need decent mattresses and pillows. Also checkin after 5pm was ridiculous. We had left Madrid at 3.30am that morning and had to wait in the lounge for 3 hours before we could get into the room

While in bed you can feel some of the springs beneath you that trouble your sleeping in some positions. If you aren't a vegetarian (as I am) there are a few spiders in the room if you're hungry. A little desk would be useful. The staff is really helpful. The position and the surrounding also great.

Very nice location, perfect for children, well addressed on road signs. A little poor in cleanliness.

I liked that the hostel was at a farm. i liked the sounds of farm animals in the early morning. It was close to Stonehenge. The Crown Inn is a great restaurant nearby in thatched roof farmhouse that serves a marvelous dinner. The staff made great effort to accommodate me and my son after the online reservation service messed up the reservation. we had our own room.

This was probably THE best hostel that I have ever stayed in. The staff were extremely friendly, the food available was very delicious and had a great price. If you like animals, nature or are traveling with children then this would be the best place for you. I honestly wish that I could have stayed longer. The only problem was that it is a little far from anywhere to walk so if you don't have a car you will either have to figure out the bus schedule or take a taxi, but I think it was worth it.

Although the hostel was okay in itself. The location is not what is advertised. This hostel should not be advertised as being in "Salisbury". We arrived in the town centre to find out we had to catch an hour bus to a random little town with no clear street signage. We had to trek at least 1 mile with our almost 20kg luggage. We waited at the night entrance ringing the doorbell for 30 mins before the staff on duty answered as he was watching the football. Do not stay here unless you have a car!

Very clean and nice, it is far from Salisbury (30min bus ride) and Stonehenge (it cannot be walked to). The bus drops you off at the end of the street that the Hostel is on, it is about a 30-45min walk to the hostel on a single road with no lights (but walking at night wasn't too bad-there were lots of stars out). There is also a really nice pub, The Crown, close to where the bus drops off with friendly staff and great food. Very fun to be on the Rare Breeds Farm. Breakfast is dry cereal.

The location is almost inaccessible without a car.

The house is a farm in a lost road close to the city. The rooms are good and the location very very quiet. Staff was friendly.

v dirty toilet, and kitchen not been cleaned properly since first installed...stale grease smell remininscent of army kitchen days, bedroom window catch faulty and couldnt open it after closing at night, had to wake staff to open kitchen at 7.15 instead of being open at 7 as promised. rip off for the money, no loo roll, both showers leak which is causing damage to walls, black spot mould on surfaces in shower rooms could be toxigenic mould stachybotrys atra.

Very good for a YHA. Free wifi and continental breakfast included. Having a car is basically required to see the sights from here. The showers are good but run out of water randomly which is very inconvenient.
