We stayed in the double room on the top floor. We felt like we were sleeping in bar. It was SOOO loud until 2 am and then started again at 8. We had to pry ourselves away from the hostel! A 2 night stay turned into 4... great location - close to the beach, really easy to get to from the bus station, easy to access buses and metro.
All the staff were so friendly and fun! We met lots of great people, and had a lot of fun!
Though its not the quietest hostel- the party came back to the corridors a couple of nights.

I had so much fun at this hostel in Rio!! The reception staff are extremely helpful (unlike at some other hostels), its only a short walk to the beach, the bar is beautiful, and its a great place to socialize and meet people. I would definitely recommend it to others thinking of coming to Rio.I had so much fun at this hostel in Rio!! I was given a raving recommendation by a friend for this hostel. It was pretty good but depends on what you want. The bar upstairs was convenient and a good way to meet other travellers. There were some ´frat parties´ in some of the dorms. If you like this sort of thing, this is the place for you. We stayed in a room that was a cupboard and had no ventilation. The staff were to cool for school and slightly rude!

Great hostel. Our room was not availabel when we arrived, however they upgraded us to an ensuite room at no extra charge. staff were very helpful and theres a great atmosphere in the placeGreat hostel. The hostel has the potential to be wonderful but the staff are so unfriendly that I was disappointed with my stay there. You are only allowed one slice of cheese and ham for breakfast, the bar closes at 12 every night and you are literally kicked out by the staff and it seemed that every time I bought a drink at the bar, they never had any change!
