They charge way too much for a hostel that doesn't have a kitchen! The cleaner was also EXTREMELY rude and tried banging down the bathroom door 3 times when I was showering at 9:00am because he wanted to get in and clean it! They should have the cleaners start after 10am check-out to allow for guests to use the very limited facilities that they have paid to use... The lady at reception was very friendly and polite, but not always there even though they claim to have 24hr reception.

Located so close to the heart of all London´s attractions this is an ideal small hostel for everyone. the only drawback is there is no lift.

Overall it was good. Excellent location and nice staff. But I would say the WIFI service was not as good as I thought. Before my trip to London, I was planning to use internet with my Pad when I was staying at this hostel, however, I was told by the staff that there was no WIFI service in the room but only available in the bar area which was also the breakfast room. That was the only thing I did not feel comfortable.

I left my luggage in storage when I arrived early the first day. I came back later to find items of mine strewn about the lobby and office. Someone had gone through my bag and left items around the hostel.

Staff was nice and helpful, the hostel looks a bit bad when entering but it is actually very clean, although there was a strange smell in the room. The location is perfect, with a lot of theaters, some bars and restaurant and not far away from westminster. I personally found it expensive but I booked at lat minute, I think it is otherwise cheaper.

Reasonable price, friendly staff, great central location with a lovely pub, the Wellington within walking distance. Close to all the West End shows. Shower could do with improving the head wouldn't stay on all the time, and bedroom is small, but you get good value for money considering how central you are! Will stay again.

Positive: Great location. Place is alright if you are backpacker with little cash. Negarive: doors are paper thin and I often got woken up. The rooms have only bare minimum. Breakfast is the absolutely least you can do and still call it continental.

Very basic, so therefor low character. There is a bar/restaurant, but didn\'t look very cool so we did not stay there. But it is PERFECT location, and the toilets and showers are clean. I love that there\'s a sink in each room, but too bad there is no soap - not even in the bathrooms - so therefor average on facilities. This is my second stay, and I\'ve already recommended this hostel to a friend :)

Unlike other hostels in London where the cheaper the rates, the more arrogant the staff, the staff at this hostel were well mannered and helpful!

Very centrally located..5 minutes from national gallery, 10 minutes from brittish museum, 0 minutes from courtlaud galleries. Staff was very friendly. Only complaint was only one shower on the third floor - but never had to wait because i took showers during off hours. I never ventured to the fourth floor.

The hostel provides minimum comfort for an extortionate price. The reason it isn't a good value for money in terms of the rooms is because the location is undeniably fantastic. Five minutes from Temple station, ten from Charing Cross, ten minutes from Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery, fifteen from Buckingham Palace. There isn't a much better place in London to be located. Everything else about this hostel was unenjoyable, however.

The location couldn't be more perfect, that's the best thing about The Strand. Breakfast was OK, toilets were clean, room was fine, the Indian staff was very nice and helpful. The internet was not good, and the carpets in the room should be changed - they're too old.

This is a great place to stay if you look for a central location for a cheap price. The staf was friendly and helpt me, i like them. The bar served tasty indian beer and had free internet. The cleaninglady was the only thing that i did not like at all. On the last day she knocked the door 20 minutes befor checkout (9:40) and opend the door with a key, i was naked inside and had to scream at her to close the door. Very bad.

Hey guys, the faciliets provited in the rooms are almost average! The included breakfast is bad, just ridiculous-ok the packed butter was good! Its not clean at all! The only exeption was the staff, they were mostly friendly and very oblinging when we needed and booked another room at about 3 am! It is ok for one or two nights, if you need a cheap hostel close to downtown.
