Tomas Morato street is nice for a night out, whether a quiet dinner and a drink, or some drunken karaoke. It looks very far on the map from the airport, but outside of rush hour only costs 300 pesos from the airport. Enjoyed our stay here, though we were in a private room so didn't get the chance to chat with any other travellers. Good value for money though.
A nice simple hostel but definitely not a party hostel as advertised. Staff were not able to recommend places to go out and there was no common room area to meet other guests. Cheap for Manila but Quezon is a long way from the airport and there are better and more interesting areas of Manila to stay in. Alright if you are looking for a quiet stay but not if you want to meet people and go out.
I read other reviews with "complaints" about Strawberry. It must have been their first trip to Asia. This is a typical Asian guesthouse. If you want towels and soap: pay big money and stay at hotel! The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to assist you in whatever you need. The place is clean. I stayed 2 weeks 95% of the time it's very quiet. The location is fantastic with every type of restaurant and bars a short walk away.My only complaint: the airconditioners are very noisy.
