Great staff and good location between the train station and the city center but was lacking atmosphere and there was only one key for each room

Great room, with own toilet/shower. Nice modern place. Too many staff though, hanging around everywhere. On every floor, and hanging in groups chatting everywhere. Kinda weird like that. Receptionist was a little grumpy too. Everything else was great. Wi-fi in room, good bathroom/shower, clean place, big kitchens, lots of fridges, supermarket nearby, close to everything (station, tourist sites, etc). A little expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Really nice new modern facilities. Almost like a hotel but has some hostel feel. Good location to walk into downtown. You can get from the hostel through Salzburg to the other end in around 40 minutes. Recommended place.

I arrived in Salzburg in the evening without any hostel booking and had to get some place to stay. The girl who did my check-in when I arrived was quite, not to say impolite, let's call it "uninterested". I booked a bed in a shared room but had the room finally alone for myself. There is no existing key system and there was only one key availabple per room. I find this a bit annoying.

Love the idea of self-cooking. The room is very tidy. If the price decrease a little, that would be better.

One of us left our iphone in the room and only realised a few hours after checking out. As we were the last to leave the room we assumed it would still be there. However the room had been cleaned since we left and the phone was gone. The staff tried to contact the cleaners and we waited for an hour or so. finally the cleaners said they did not find anything. We still don't have the phone and haven't heard anything from the Hostel. Pathetic. Not honest cleaners and not helpful staff.

This place was wonderful. The hostel itself is in a beautiful building right on the river. The kitchen and rec rooms are clean and bright and cozy. The staff was nice. Our rooms were also bright, clean and cozy. The bathrooms are amazing: clean and new with modern fittings. Within a comfortable walking distance to all of the tourist sights and right along the beautiful river.

This is a really good hostel. I really enjoyed my stay here. I only had a little problem with one of the guest in my room, but the staff was very helpful in letting me stay in the common room since they were full to avoid staying in the room for the night. The staff is very helpful and polite. The room was clean and tidy as well as the rest of the facilities. I will definitely stay here the next time I'm in Salzburg.

Single room was really nice and clean. I didn't like a pillow, though - it was thin and almost non existent. Common kitchen is nicely equipped. However, fridge in the room would be a blast. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Really good location - just 10 minutes to the train station and right on the brink of the historic centre

No complaints at all about this hostel - it was spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable, with excellent lounge and kitchen facilities, and perfectly located within easy walking distance of the town. Staff were friendly and helpful, and we very much enjoyed staying here. Our kids enjoyed the table tennis!

I made a reservation in a three bed room and when I arrived they told me that I was in a four bed one, and wanted to charge me the full price of the three bed one!! I had to complain twice with the girl at the front desk who went to speak to the manager and then when he agreed came back and discounted the difference between the two rooms. Unbelievable. It is not well located.

Not the best hostel I have stayed in. Didn’t like it that there was one room key for each room...you have to ask at the reception desk every time you come in to see if the key is available and drop it of every time you leave if you are last one in the room. Also stayed in a four bedroom room which consisted of two single beds and a double - did not state this on the website and would not of booked this room if I knew.

Nice hostel with good facilities but main problem was there was no lockers in the room, although the rooms were very nice!

Excellent reception Staff!! I would like to make a special mention about Peter who worked the overnight shift the night I arrived at Strawberry hostel. I was extremely discontent about sharing a 4 mixed room with a bloke that took up my half of bed space as he spread him self across the 2 twin beds. Peter arranged alternative accommodation plans for me by setting up the "Chilli Out lounge" as my room for the night. Fresh sheets, duvet & a fluffy pillow on the sofa. Best sleep I've had in days!

+ Good location. + Friendly staff. + Free internet. - You had to leave the roomkey at the reception every time you left the hostel, and that was frustrating for us because we slept in a dorm with other people. And there was only ONE key. - The dorm we slept in was very small. I would stay there again.

Strawberry Hostel Salzburg in certain areas of the two persons. Space, extending the relaxed, bright lighting and bathroom was also very convenient. Then you have a chance to go to Salzburg once again I'd like to stay. Thank the crew friendly. However, before check-in luggage after check out Jim's security status when placed is a little worried. Waeyahamyeon, otherwise there is no locking facilities and storage facilities because the administrator.
