Very good hostel. The free beer happy hour is a great way to get the travellers together and socialising but it is not a rowdy party hostel. My dorm was clean with a good a/c and a clean ensuite. Very central. Walking distance from the airport minibus stop. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was very helpful and the day trip I took to halong bay thru them was comparable to other tour agents. Only downside was the dorm was quite cramped.

I loved this hostel! There wasn't too many people staying there which made it easy for everyone to mix! The staff were above and beyond helpful assisting with information and willing to make bookings as well! I would come back any day :)

So lovely. Booked all my tours and transport through the hostel and had a great time. Even let me store my big backpack whilst I was on short trips ans nap in spare bed after a tiring Sapa trip. Could not ask for more. Thanks!

Best possible place to stay, and SO cheap! The owner is so wonderful, the rooms are clean and have great air con. So close to the lake and the cathedral, always easy to find at night. Mattresses are hard, but no big deal. Free rice wine could probably strip paint from walls, but is definitely worth a try. Book tours through her, too, instead of a travel agency. She speaks english well and will help you get a good tour.

Amazing hostel - the staff deserves so much thanks from my part for all that they helped me with and did for me. Really cute place with a good atmosphere, incredibly priceworthy with free breakfast and all. But the people working there really made it different from most hostels I've stayed at. Thank you!!

This place really made my stay in Hanoi. The family who run it are absolutely lovely and friendly and invited me to eat with them. The free beer and rice wine is a great bonus and is really sociable, particularly if you're travelling alone! I would sincerely recommend this Street Backpackers if you're looking for somewhere friendly and cosy to stay.

One of the nicest hostels we have stayed in! Owner was meant to meet us at train station but she forgot because she was cooking lunch for everyone! Booked our halong bay trip and bus to Vientiane through her and were pleased with both! Hostel is in walking distance of most things - and they even cooked us breakfast at 7am before we went to halong bay! Lovely hostel and family :)

We loved it there :) The staff was very nice, the moment we mentioned wanting to go somewhere or do something we would almost immediatly be offered help or ideas. We had a very nice time there, and because it was small it was very easy to meet people. ow and... the breakfast was delicious every time :)

TINY hostel right in the heart of the 'Old Quarter'. Great location. Good dorms. The female owner is very pleasant and accommodating. Free beer in the evenings. Great price. Airport pick up for $15 is pretty good too. Would definitely stay here again.

You get a lock and key inside your room bout the size of a bread box. This hostel goes to bed earlier it seems. Leo and his wife were super cool. Leo taught a bunch of us to make spring rolls, and when I tried to chip in for the ingredients even, he wouldn't take it. Stellar guy. They are super helpful. Bring your own roll of tp-- sometimes runs out. No AC, but not really a problem. It doesn't get hot. Free drinks at 7:30--- beer and rice wine. You get so much for your money!

Staff is the best part of this place, so wonderful.Breakfast is simple, but enough.Hostel is quite small,so common area tends to be overcrowded at the end of the day.It is walking distance from great massage shops, cafes, markets.DONT miss the morning workouts by the lake.Beds are super comfy and bathroom is clean enough, shower works fine.Just 1 thing, wish they had routers in every floor, internet doesn't work on the 3rd floor, you have to find a place downstairs in the crowd.
