The distance from the town centre was misrepresented- it is a somewhat impractical distance to traverse for a foot traveler. Also, it was very off-putting to be greeted by an absolutely empty house upon arrival (in the cold, rainy weather) and have to fumble (in the rain) with a phone to call the proprietor and be directed through the steps of letting oneself into the house via a house key locked outside.

Owner Comment (Show)
the distance to the city center is approx 15 to 20 mins by foot as stated on our profile ,which i can do it in, so its not misrepresented. We can keep our prices relatively cheap because we dont have staff on duty 24/7 so if we can keep our staffing cost down we pass that savings on to the customer and charge moderately. We have a self check in system since we opened and its proved to be not a problem for the majority of people. Some guests have commented on how clever it was and some have said its an added bit of an adventure to checking in to our place. This guest obviously had a bad day in the rain and unfortunately i cant control the weather. Only GOD can

About 15 mins fast walk from the center. Its on the street lined with lots of other guest houses, is easy to find. We had to call the owner to sort out the time of coming as there are times no one is there to attend. Better to have a phone number to call them. Not sure how easy it will be to turn up late in the night. The staff was nice and helpful.

Very nice and cozy guest house. 15-20 minutes walk form railway station. Friendly staff. Breakfast costs extra £ 2.5 for continental and £5 for a full English breakfast. Bed linen is free, towels costs £1 a set per person. There is pretty fare wi fi, hairdryers a provided for free. In overall very nice and clean, however shower has really stupid system, so it gets impossible to wash properly. We stayed there in mid February, non touristic season, so we were the only guests in the whole house.

we ordered a cooked breakfast and paid 5 pound each which is really good and fine, but the guy didn‘t turn up to cook it and the lady on reception left to another job before the matter was resolved so we are still 10 pound out of pocket but other than that it is fine
