When we showed up to the property we were "greeted" by a very rude individual, whom I do not believe was the owner but an onsite manager. He demanded we pay cash up front which was unexpected given that nowhere on the website say this is the required .The property is very old and in disrepair with a pervading smell of maybe cabbage, or curry... Additionally on top of paying for the room you need to "hire" a towel for an additional £1. Location was poor as we needed to drive to everything.

We only saw the staff when we arrived and when they knocked on our door to pay. The room was pretty nice and shower was hot. You can walk from the train station but it is hard to figure out if you don't know your street names. A taxi to the house costs a little less than 5 pounds. The guest house seemed very secure and was clean.

The place was great, sleeping in a typical scottish house was awesome, and the self-checkin system was really fun. Luckily we had the car but the city centre was a little far away (20 mins as the description says). Everything was ok btw

Overall everyone was very nice here. It's a little cramped, but it's nothing unbearable. There's only one bathroom for the whole place, but it wasn't too crowded so this wasn't a problem, and it's a very nice bathroom. The only downside is that it's in the middle of a residential neighborhood, so if you have heavy bags don't plan on walking here from the train station, it's very far. If you're travelling in a car it would be perfect, though!
