We arrived in the last week the hostel was open, so there was a bit of a shutting down feeling and it seemed pretty empty. That said, the kitchen was very well furnished (no microwave though!) with plenty of space, the bathroom was clean and the room was very comfortable. We even had a good view across the town! We didn't really spend any evenings in the hostel, so we can't say that much about the atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again!
We booked 2 beds in a 6 bed dorm, but it was 3 rooms with 2 beds in each with a shared kitchen, WC and shower. So it was really nice for us to have our own room. And the hostel is located very central. Kitchen was good, but there was no sharper knifes to prepare food with. Maybe not the cleanest shower, but ok.
Internet there is terrible. Dorm room style (2 beds per room). Short stay- checked in late and left early. No strong feelings either way.
If wifi can be connected at room, it is great for us. Thank you.
Student accommodation with individual twin rooms in a three bedroom student flat. Clean and with good shower/toilet facilities. Close to the centre, only a five minute walk to good restaurants and bars. The staff were also very friendly and helpful with a 24 hour reception and lots of information available.
Great location, less than 10 minutes walk to the main train station. Very friendly staff, gave us advice on where to go and our upcoming trip to Lake Bled. Ljubljana is quite small in comparison to other european cities so the city centre was also less than a 10 minute walk from here. Stayed in 6 person apartment which actually had 3 rooms in each apartment, 2 beds per room. This made our items far more secure. Biggest downer was the poor wifi.
We really enjoyed our time at this hostel. It was in a great location and they had lots of information on tours that we could go on. We stayed in a twin bedroom which had lots of space. We didn't use the kitchen but it very smart. The only downside was that at night time a lot of locals hang around outside the front of the building and they can be quite noisy. If you don't go back to your room until the early hours of the morning then this wouldn't be a problem. Other than that it was great.
Nicely located only a short walk from the town center, nice staff and facilities,. It must previously have been a student digs. Even though I booked a 6 bed dorm, it turned out to be three 2 bed rooms in one corridore with a small kitchen and bathroom. Can be a bit awkward sharing a small room with just one other person. Not too much atmosphere but they do give you a change to go to another nearby hostel to have a good night.
My boyfriend and I booked one night in a 6-bed dorm only to find out that the "dorm" was actually a fully equipped apartment with three rooms with two beds each. So we got a private room AND a kitchen for the price of a (very cheap) dorm - very nice! As a result we didn't meet our flatmates, so we can't really say anything about the atmosphere, but there was a pubcrawl that night, so I guess something social IS going on... Definately recommended.
Near a supermarket. Staffs are kind and ready to help all the time. I like this place.

MInimal/non-existent wifi in the rooms, when it cut out the receptionist had no interest whatsoever in trying anything to fix the internet. Lackluster attitude to customer service, could not recommend anything to see or where to eat. No air conditioning - give this hostel a miss in summer. Lots of mosquitoes when you open the window to relieve the heat. Rooms itself were okay, enjoyed having a fridge and a stove. You pay for what you get - budget
Great location, dorms areprivate rooms in cells sincethey are dorms during school year. Sister is Cecilia hostel so can use either facility. Goodbase inthecapital.
Would love to return and stay at the students residence. It was clean, quiet, had a kitchen and computers as well.
This is actually a student dorm that is converted into a hostel during summer vacation. That should tell you what the setup is if you ever lived in a dorm. The 6 bed dorms are actually three different 2-bed rooms with a shared bathroom and kitchen area. The location was great, right between the artsy area and the old city river walk area. About a 10 minute walk from the bus or train station. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the place was fantastic. A great budget option.
