My three friends and I had a pleasant journey in Amsterdam for the 2012 New Year. Unfortunately, the apartment was not very good. The hotel manager said us that it wasn’t like an hotel but more like a private apartment. We weren’t informed of many things like that we had to clean the place before and after our living for example, moreover, it was not so clean when we arrived. When we arrive, he said “NO-open trash-bags or any food on tables (you invite the mouse + insects) !”. More it was not...

When we arrived the the guy in charge couldn't find our booking. He was quite rude and hardly looked for the booking, only showed us the mails from bookings who didn't show up. After a while he found the booking, his assistance hadn't put it in the right folder. We never saw anyone but him.He gave us a very good guide to how to get around the city and where all the sights where. Don't ask him anything though he will only get annoyed if you didn't hear it the first time. The rooms were nice though

The man who rents is a real parano (young people, street, foreigners,...), and he is like a bad "Uncle Picsou" , so he also wants delirious garantees, he imposes too much strict rules, etc. For instance, for a 600€ "room-appart', you have to pay BEFORE REACHING THE HOSTEL 65€ to valid the reservation (normal), PLUS a 200€ caution (why ?!!), and without any garantee to see your money back ! PLUS 8€, extra tax for him ! And when you arrive, you have to immediatly pay for all your stay !!!

Friendly welcome. Booking process a bit complex but everything is clearly said so here can't be any misunderstanding. We rent the room just the day before and the staff was very reactive. Appartments are in a very quite place (don't go there if you want to party...), 4 metro stations away from the center. Be aware that these are appartments, you'll have to clean when leaving + you'll leave a deposit that will be refund if the room wasn't damaged during you stay. And don't forget your towels!!!

I liked because it was very clean and away from the noise, Is a perfect place to just sleep and then spend the rest of the day going around, I forgot the name of the person who helped me , but he was very nice and gave me a lot of info.

i had quite an enjoyable stay. it was good to have my own apartment with my friends which we could save money by cooking ourselves. the location wasn't really a problem, as there is quite a bit of public transport into the city. The staff was quite friendly. and the apartment was generally clean. We weren't provided with anything to clean our dishes. we bought washing liquid and a sponge from a local supermarket which was a little over a euro, but had to wash our dishes with spare sheets.

Studio-Room Amsterdam is in a quite area which is nice if you want to be out of the noisy city life, and still reacheable by tram, and it's clean. But staff where not really welcoming when we arrived. As it's a private renting, things to get in are totally different that I use to know in hostel/hotel. You've to be prepared to confirm every mail they send to you in a short time, and pay the deposit in advance. Out of that, everything is clear to make sure there is no misundertood.

Residential area of Amsterdam. At 15 mins of Central with metro. Supermarkets and internet at 5 mins. Apartment was ok and clean. It doesn't seem to be at first because stairs, walls and ceiling, wardrobe, lights are vintage. In fact, everything is fine. We were only 3 persons in a max 6 persons apartment. It is also a good reason to enjoy the place! I could come back if I stay more than 2 days in Dam.
