The location was great. The cleanliness in the room was the worst part because there were a lot of people from Travel and Holiday Program and they work almost everyday so they would leave almost everything on the ground. The room was very smelled so the first night I need to turn on the fan, open the window to get rid of that smell. I would choose another place to stay, when I later visit Sydney.

Cockroaches in my bed and on the dining tables. Gross! Clean up! People and staff are very friendly!

Very good hostel! The receptionist is pretty nice and friendly. Wifi's connection is good. To Kings cross station, it takes within 5minutes. There is coles nearby. It is really convenient!

The location is ideal. 5 minutes from Kings Cross station, 15-20 mins from everywhere in the City. The fact you get free breakfast is obviously a bonus as Sydney can be expensive. Tea & coffee available and the Sunday pancakes were great! A very lively hostel, so - if like myself - you wanted a bit of chill time it was quite difficult to find a place in the evenings that didn't have drunk teenagers. Value for money though & staff were helpful. Would use again :)

Really great hostel! There's a bunch of routers so the wifi is pretty good. Free breakfast, bbq during the week, pancakes on Sunday were all a great treat. Individual outlets by each bed was so convenient. Very large lockers. Quite a lot of long term people staying, but everyone is really friendly and I found it easy to make friends. Only downside is there could be more bathrooms and the courtyard/dining area gets a bit cold in the winter season.

Not the best hostel in sydney but alright for a few nights. Reception closes at 8pm. They don't have tables in the kitchen, only on a covered terrace so in winter it's freezing. Lots of long term guests so the dorms are full of luggage and you can't go anywhere without stepping on someone's stuff. But it's cheap, there's free wifi and it's walking distance from the CBD.

Good location. Tea/Coffee & toast breakfast inc. Pancakes on Sun was a nice surprise. Definitely a long-term stayers hangout so felt out of place as we stayed 5 days not 5 months! Even though they they close the garden area at 10pm you will get people drunk messing at 3am. Make sure to bring earplugs. Vacuuming at 8am outside of room. Bunk beds are wobbly when climbing on top and not lots of room to move around in dorm. Large lockers in room. Little pricey but then everything is in Oz! Ok place

The hostel is very noisy and looks dirty, even though they do mop the floor two times a day. The bathrooms almost fall apart and the showers change from cold to warm and back to cold all the time. It is really hard to relax in this hostel. I slept in room 2, which was next to the kitchen and the mini-containers outside. People made noise until 1.30 am and the containers were emptied at 4.30. A good hostel if you don't rely on sleep and hygene.

Good sized rooms and big locker per person for belongings. Dining area got pretty cold as it was half inside half outside so not great if you visit oz in winter! Kitchen was pretty good and plenty storage for guests. Decent TV room. Staff great. Did find it a bit cliquey at first as lots of long termers stay here so are a close group but after a day or two it's ok. Not too far to walk to botanic gardens and opera house etc

Best bed I ever had in a hostel! Very well located close to a train station and walking distance to city center. Clean enough, but vacuuming could be done at another time (not at 8AM). People were nice even though it was mostly german and dutch travellers who tend to stay with each other. Good breakfast served every morning and delicious pancakes on Sunday :D Friendly and helpful staff. I would recommend staying at this hostel.

Me and my partner stayed at summer house for four nights. The place was clean and staff were polite. The downside to our stay was that there was one toilet and one shower shared between four dorms which got really busy as you could imagine, but on the first floor they have a different setup which did help. The hostel is in a good location too, right near the station and a short walk from the cbd!
