Staff was nice and the room spacious and clean. However, I was asked to spend the first night in another hostel as soon as I arrived, since the room was overbooked. It is also good to know that the room near the entrance can be very noisy when people are hanging out in the courtyard or entering or leaving the hostel. If you have no problem to sleep, it's perfect. I had a good time there in overall however.

That's the best accommodation we've had comparing all three recent visits to Istanbul. Friendly, cosy, boutique hostel with a dream location. Waking up with a Galata Tower visible in some 200 meters away: could it be better? 3 minutes down the street - Tophane tram station, 5 minutes down - Karakoy, Istiklal is 7 minutes up the hill! Yes, it has small rooms - common to Istanbul center hostels, and also shower is shared with toilet, but all these stuff works great together! Thanks, Sumo Cat guys

Location absolutely perfect! Staff nice, room good enough, especially for the price. Only negative thing was the hygiene: Room was cleaned and also bathroom, except the completely molded shower curtain. This would be so easy to change and a big big difference!

location is very nice, after the first time you find it. it wasnt very clean, staff was playing at random times during the night loud metal music and you better be not in the room to the reception in such time! not very clean, breakfast was also a bit boring

Excellent location, very easy to find, a minute away from Galata tower, minutes from the tram station. We only had a few problems with our 6-bed room near the office. The bathroom was fungus infested, the bathroom ventiation fan died the first day, the toilet needed constant hacking to work properly, the air conditioner didn't work, which is very importat because of the dampness. But the staff was very nice and kindly lended us a heater whenever we needed it. Very good buffet breakfast included!

It's a really nice place. Your avoid the mos turistic zone. So the pruces around are low, but you can go walking to ahia sophia and the rest of the places in istanbul and it wont take you more than 15-20 minutes walking.

Once we actually found it, it was great. The online directions leave something to be desired, but someone came and fetched us from the street and we were good. Rooms were nice, Kubi was nicer ;) breakfast is included which is nice, lovely patio. I would stay there again.

The place was really nice and I enjoyed staying there. It is an old building so the bathroom for example had rising damp and paint peeling. For the price I paid though it was fantastic. Breakfast was provided too, which saved me money

This was an ok hostel. Tiny and cold common room downstairs. Not too far to Istiklal street but not the easiest walk. We wished we had just stayed in Sultanahmet (tourist area) as that's where we spent majority of our time.
