Nice, cosy little hostel with friendly staff and absolutely prim location. Definitely a good place to lay your head after exploring the sites, within a stone's throw from Galata Tower. Also perfectly located in terms of transport to the old city, and within crawling distance of bustling Taksim nightlife. :)

Great location. 5min to Galata tower. 10min to the main shopping road Istikal and a 15min walk to Sultanahmed. Very friendly and helpful staff, too. Its nice that the hostel is rather small and located in a quiet neighborhood, so you can really get some sleep after a hard day of sightseeing or a hard night of partying. Party locations are close by, too.

We stayed for a very short time but Sumo Cat Hostel was more than helpful with everything. The location may not seem safe if you don't know the area but it is, and you can call the staff a million times if you get lost (like we did) and they will still be helpful. Rooms are clean and the atmosphere is friendly and nice. The location is very central and it's incredibly easy to go. The neighbourhood has many bars and pubs and restaurants for you to enjoy. I'd certainly recommend the hostel.

I was suprised to learn that there was no laundry? Made for a stinky few days. Also this place is extremly hard to find without detailed directions, I spent an hour walking around trying to find it. Good people though.

Very good location for active people

The staff was excellent... helped us get around and also when we missed our flight to marmaris called up the hostel there to let them know... Clean n total value for money..!! cheers..!
