Very small rooms and awful atmosphere. Definitely not worth the money you pay for a room.

There is no embellishment included in what I am about to write you are paying 50 something bucks to have the privilege of sleeping in a chicken coop. In one floor, there are more than 50 stalls with beds, and that floor is as big as a single oversized classroom. At night, you will be kept awake by the incessant honking of horns by the passing New York drivers below, and the shared shower/bathrooms are less clean then the public one\'s in Grand Central Station. Do your self a favor and don\'t go.

I had a shock when I entered in my room. 2 sq meters. that\'s it, the sheets have been used many times, they were dirty, the pillowcase was really dirty, yellowish. The blanket was broken in several places. I could hear everything from the other rooms as there was no celing. noisy. couldn\'t make shower as didn t feel safe. definetly not worth! I will never go there again! worst experience, not worth not even $10. If I could I would have closed that place down a single plus: stuff very friendly

It is a 50 bucks + tax hotel in NYC. You are not expecting much, are you? I was on the 5th floor and noticed rooms on the 3rd and 4th. 5th floor was clean and looked like a hostel with shared bathroom. Other floors were very dirty and smelly. Rooms are very small but you got your bed to rest for the night. My only complaint was that the room was too bright (bring a eye shade) and I could hear some noise coming from the corridor. If you are looking for a cheap place to spend a night,that\'s the one

Decent place for the money. Close to the subways in a good area.

Really good situated. A few meters from Canal St, just the border line between chinatown, little italy, soho, nolita... and 10 minutes walking to the ground zero, 3 subways stops of midtown, etc. But the hotel very simple.. just to go to bed. very small rooms (my girl and mine had just the space to the double bed. we have not space even to place our clothes!, we had the bags in the floor and to get out of the bed we had to place the bags on it, so we can step on the flor xD ). not very clean

Although this hostel is really set up for the budget-traveler, I strongly suggest hostelworld to consider their affiliation with Sun Bright. The hostel has literaly paper-thin walls, it's really unsanitary (especially the restrooms / showers) and I strongly believe that its unsafe (easy access for strangers, fire). Even for the low amount... it's not worth going there. Ow and last but not least... all additional taxes were excluded, while the next hostel already had it in the total quote=weird

If this is your only option in NYC do yourself a favor and reschedule your trip! They have cramped tiny rooms which in most cases HAVE NO WINDOWS! People are allowed to smoke in the bottom hallway that circulates with its very limited air circulation. Be aware of what they call "dorms", because THEY AREN'T! If you can imagine rooms that can barely fit a person and their luggage out of a scary movie and with CHICKEN WIRE as ceiling! Its an interesting experience that I hope never to have again.

There is something that makes this hostel different than all the other hostels. While you are staying on the 5th floor. The 6th and 3rd and 4th floors are occupied by homeless people who live in the exactly 3 square meters rooms that you are staying just for a few days. This is a great opportunity for those who want to understand who are our homeless people and how/where they live. Government pays $600 a month for these rooms for the homeless. Stay for a night. Change name to Homeless Hostel.

We were on a rather clean floor, but some of them looked dirty and old.

This hotel is very well situated, just next to Mulberry Street (Little Italy) and in the heart of Chinatown. But it's the only advantage, don't go there if you have another solution : the rooms are tiny and you won't sleep very well if your neighbour snores...

You will find a location in the center of NY, the rooms are as described small and through the open roof you can hear your neighbors. If you look for something just to stay the night that\'s ok.
