This hostel was a disappointment, As our party of six (3 rooms) registered for 4 nights, the manager requested that we pay for the entire visit up front because "people kept leaving after one night" and she needed the money. We refused. The facilities were very substandard. The bathrooms had "doors" made of hanging beads. It was impossible to turn the air-conditioners on or off. (The manager cussed at us as we left the next day. We ended up abandoning our HW deposits just to get out of there.)

There was six of us. Our room was the best. We made reservations but when we got there we were not on the resversation. Tv was snowy the AC was noisy. She wanted us to pay up front for all four days when we got there. Our friends had bad rooms and wanted to leave the next day. We left and she made a scene and started yelling at us out on the street. It was bad.

Dear , we are sorry if SunCity has not met your expectations. Still let me put into perspective: half of your group booked 16 hours before the arrival, which was why the staff did not have that reservation processed (my fault!). They did their utmost to accomodate the group all the same. Before the upfront payment (which is normal practice at many hostels) you were shown the rooms and accepted to stay. For being short of cash you gave us your word that you will settle the account on the following day but then you broke the promise left with all kind of excuses (expected flatscreens and a noiseless central aircon). My suggestion to avoid this kind of MUTUAL disappointment: book a place with the price level that will be in line with your requirements. Nonetheless, have a safe trip.
