My girlfriend and I had a great time staying here. We were the only guests there during our 3 day 4 night stay and as a result, we got pretty well acquainted with the French expat manager, Fon Fon, and his Khmer family. They're very nice and interesting, but only he speaks fluent English. While we had Sun Island was the first resort on Koh Rong Samloem, and it's still decent, but there are better options now. The Beach Resort had nicer facilities and a better bar. It's cheaper too.

Try to stay in a tent instead of a bungalow. The tents are nice, big and you have a great view of the beach. The island is simply breathtaking and well worth spending a few days there! The restaurant is the by far the best one on the island and the staff is very warm, welcoming and friendly.
