Hard to find. Small. Cold. Person at front didn't even seem to know I was coming even though I prebooked with the deposit. Had to go across the road to my room (they only do private ensuites) after checking in. Even though checkout is at noon, one of the persons working thought it imperative to bang on my door around 11am -- No shared common room to meet people. The places are 6 rooms in 1 apartment.

It was a bit of mucking around because we turned up at the expected place only to be led to another place. There was also an alarm that went off in the middle of the night but cant really blame owner for that.

We stayed in a 6x bed ensuite room at Paterson Building C on the 6th Floor room . The room was new for a 6x person room. Hot water was very hot. Blankets were new and warm in the night. The owner Ms. Peggy was very charming and really helpful. Location was very convenience with supermarket across the block.

First, the SMS reminder about the booking came on the day of checkin by 6pm. Second, when I called the hotel (just passed 6pm) to inform them that I was going to check-in later, they told me that they already rented out the room to someone else and had no more vacancies. Nice, I was left without a room to stay for the night. When I pay a deposit to guarantee my booking I would expect that people keep my room OR try to contact me by phone OR eMail to ask if I was still coming.. That sucks!

Very small, but also very clean, fresh renovated rooms. Perfect located, directly at the Causwaybay MTR Station! Use their Homepage to find the hostel easily!

Great location, but didn't quite live up to the photos! There were instructions for getting a warm shower but they didn't make sense. The TV was not tuned well - would have been better not to have it. Good wifi connection and overall not bad for the location and price in HK but did not sleep too well because of the hard bed and tiny pillow.

My plane arrived late so they gived thé room That I booked and gived me a room in an other building. The room was full of mold that it is dangerous to breath, noisy, a high windows was opened because of the odeur so I slept with light of thé other room.furthermore I had to share the toilet and bathroom with 10 perso Bad expérience. All that for the same price! They even didn t make à discount ! It was 1 Am so I had no chose. The day after I went back in an other guesthouse; clean & 20% cheapper

On arrival, I waited 2 hours before I was shown my room. The air conditioning did not work in my room. Massive communication problems

Don't expect anything special. Staff knows almost no english and is unfriendly. Be prepared that they do not have any information about ur reservation, so better bring ur confirmation. Btw. the didn't want to see my passport or anything else. The location is excellent, so if u just want a pleace to sleep don't hesitate.

You are not going to find anything big or luxurious in Hong Kong for the price of a hostel. So don't fool yourself. This place could not be in a better location, although on first entrance the building is a bit manky - thats just Hong Kong. The rooms are fine, own ensuite, small. But its all you need! Its certainly better than staying in the Chungking Mansions!! Definitely worth staying in. And when I return, if not in a hotel, I will stay here again.

Great location, single room tiny, you get a single bed, space to open door and a shower room. you also get a towel and TV, very clean, no internet in room but can use wifi or their PC in reception. Staff don't speak english but very nice, had to pay cash for room.

Location of hostel is very good as it is near a supermarket and restaurants. First room they gave us had fungi on wall adjacent to air conditioning unit. We complained to them and they very reluctantly moved us to another room. Bed sheet and comforter had bad smell like someone's sweat.

On the whole the hostel is very good. The exception is the comforters provided smelt like they have not been washed for many months. I was informed by he staff that the water in the water dispenser was from the toilet (not a good place to get water).

Sun Kong Hostel is very conveniently located next to the MTR of a shopping district, hence we had no trouble moving around the city. The staff is very courteous and polite, even waiting for us beyond our expected time of arrival, so that our reservation can be accomodated. Security is of prime importance, and it is clear that the hostel takes adequate measures to ensure the safety of our belongings. We had no hesitation to leave our bags at the reception after checking out.

This was the worst hostel we have ever encountered as world travellers. Our reservation along with 5 other people/couples were cancelled even though we put in deposits because there was a big group of people who arrived before us and the staff gave our rooms to them. We did not even get our deposit back and the hostel owner was nowhere to be seen. We spent the whole day looking for other lodgings which was hard as it was a peak time in HK and all hotels/ hostels were fully booked.

AMAZING location! MAKE SURE you google map the address beforehand because it is somewhat hidden. As long as youre polite, the staff are very friendly but not much English spoken. Everything was extremely clean

Although i am aware that HK accommodations are expensive, this hostel it's not worth the price they ask. I booked an ensuite single room and they gave me a very small room (3 m2) annexed to a kitchen (guess it was used previously as a storeroom, the bathroom was far from the room and I had to share it with 3 more bedrooms.. Obviously I couldn't complaint, as anyone spoke English.. it was so surreal thet it was fun, but not worth my USD 50!
