A bit out of town which can be nice. Great views. Weather dependent! There are places 10 min walk either way along the lake to eat if you don't want the pricey hotel food. Things close early. Go to the tourist info booth when you get off the train and they will call the hotel bus for you. The return shuttle is at 10:10. So plan your onward trip around the 10:34 train back to otsuki.

Hotel was very nice and clean. My room was beyond expectation. There are onsens with Mt.Fuji view. Location was the best location if you want to see Mt.Fuji from front of the hotel, but it's a bit far from train station that it's hard to find any convenient store near the hotel. However, they provide free shutter bus between train station and the hotel for check-in and check-out date. Staffs were helpful but not all of them can use well english. Wifi internet was a bit poor on the day I stayed.

The uncle receptionist was expecting lots of tips from the customer, and was showing his attitude when we gave him a small tip. After that, he changed to become such a cold-hearted useless uncle. We booked for a room with Tatami, but we got a normal / small and poorly maintained room with bed instead. The overall service was sub-standard, and they seemed to look down on Thai tourists. The hotel charged for onsen usage. When we booked the room, it was clearly stated that the package included brea

We had an excellent stay here, it is a bit far from the town but who cares when you get such fantastic views. Both me and my girlfriend had the onsens to ourselves as well or and they were really good. Great value for money, would 100% come back again.

Gorgeous little 100 year old guest house fantastically located near the sights in Nara. Positives: Authentic, well located, friendly hosts Negatives: Due to age & style of building, it was very noisy due to the thinness of walls etc. There were also a lot of guests (all who seemed friendly ) but it meant in a house like this your hours for sleeping were very limited. We were staying in a private room but could hear others snoring All in all, good value for money and has a great charm

the location is too inconvenient!!! I arrived too late at night as well, so that I can't have the pick up service. The facilities is good, and the staff is lovely.
