Good situation.Nice small village without cars. House still in construction for a new flood. Nice people, with somebody speaking good English (American chinese woman)

The location is far away from the road and almost impossible to find. At night the village paths have almost no lighting making finding your way even more difficult. The guesthouse has no common areas to sit in and no roof terrace - a common feature we saw in every other hostel / guesthouse we passed. The room was small, damp and not worth the price we paid. Dinner was OK but served very slowly. Breakfast was bland and tasteless. The only bright spot was Ellen the temporary staff member. Avoid.
This hostel was very cozy, and was located right in a local village. You were able to walk through the area and observe what the locals did on a daily basis. It is about a 10 minute walk up the hill to the main road, so be careful walking at night since it does get very dark. It offers a great view of the sunrise as well.
Absolutely LOVED this place. The owner is a lovely and friendly woman always ready to offer good advice. Also the rest of the stuff is nice but they all just speak Chinese! Location is great, it offers an amazing views of the rice terraces and it is really peaceful! Free tea and free wifi. Clean and nice rooms and bathroom. I would definitely go back there!!!!
