somebody stole our beer in front of our room the food was great, but the staff from the kitchen was just there and they couldn't speak an other language then russian, and it's not their job to organise trips or transfers or answering our questions; the administrator was only there twice and didn't seemed to be interessted what we would like to do

Sunny hostel was fantastic! The accomodation was in wood cabins, ours had a really cool wood burning stove that kept us warn all night. No running water, but there is washing basin with a really clever "tap" which you fill from a bucket. The three meals included were home cooked and traditional - we really enjoyed them! The campsite is located overlooking a beach so you can get down to the lake in 5 mins. The ladies who work there are helpful and nice and Elvira can take you on tours. Great!

Arrived here to find the main entrance locked. Had to walk around for a while until I found a way 'in,' only to find that there were no English speaking staff at all to help me. I was shown to my room, was given no tour or details about bathrooms/breakfast/showers etc. The details on hostel world claim that the staff can help you with booking trips and tours etc, however this was impossible as nobody spoke English. Fair enough if you can speak Russian, this place might be ok for you!

Staff were friendly and helpful, location was excellent with some rooms with views of lake, and very quiet. Took tour to north of Island which was good and well organised. What it lacked was the food was very average with small portions. Only tea available- now coffee unless you bought it.. Toilets were usual outside toilets and stank. Couldn't they use lime or at least sawdust?

When we arrived at Sunny hostel, they had overbooked and did not have room for us, they tried to offer us a room with a local familiy which did not have shower. After 2 hours they managed to find us a room at a different hotel. Only one member of staff was helpful the others not.
