Second time there and it is still an amazing hostel with an awesome owner, thanks Gyoko!

Joko, the owner, was super helpful and knowledgeable. It is about 20 min walk from bus station to hostel but it is very close to facilities. However the signage to the hostel is poor as it is not permitted in the old town.

Very good hostel for your staying at Ohrid. The hostel is located in central Ohrid, very close to all the main monuments,restaurants and shops. The staff is really cool and will help you in all the ways. I recommend it

Amazing hostel, perfect location and extremely nice, friendly and helpful staff. I really enjoyed my stay and I would totally recommend it to all. Just make sure you have a map or something when you go there for the first time because although its just off the main street it is not easy to find.

Very good hostel,good location in the Old town. Our host was Joko,very nice bloke,very helpful and friendly. If you are a fan of football,this is the place to stay. Joko is a fountain of knowledge about the beautiful game. Would definately stay here again.

Friendly and helpful staff. Right in the centre of town. Nice common rooms. The owner took us to some nice bars. The breakfast was great.

Joco is a legend... thats all.

Owner is great, and he seems to know the timings for every public transport in the Balkans. A burek for each guest every morning for breakfast was a nice touch.

Sunny Lake is the best hostel in Ohrid, no question. The staff are so cool, and are happy to hang out with you or point you in the right direction to any of the sights. But this is definitely a summer hostel; the only heat they have are space heaters in the rooms, so hallways are absolutely freezing, and the hot water lasts 10 seconds if you are lucky. But I had a very nice stay, and they let me check in at 5:30 am and sleep without paying an extra night. So I can't complain!

Awesome hostel!!! An extra comforter on every single bed in the hostel to ensure a soft and great nights sleep is just 1 more way this hostel is a notch above so many others ive stayed in! Clean showers with hot water, fully equipped kitchen, awesome view from balcony, great and helpful staff. Even though it was quiet this time of year I would love to come back in summer with the garden out back it would ensure the perfect place to chill and meet other travelers as well as the TV/common room.
