All excellent besides the food from their bar because sometimes it was cold. Hostel is in the center of Beijing! Love it!

Great place!! I will definitely use this hostel again. They kindly upgraded our room to en suite and allowed us to not have a roommate even though we were three persons in a four person room. Refreshing to have a smooth check in, where things were exactly as promised! Thanks you Sunrise!

This is the second time I have stayed here. It is a very clean hostel and good value for your money. It's not a five star hotel but provides the basics. The staff are all very helpful and bend over backwards to answer your queries. Can't beat the two blocks to the forbidden city and a few minutes walk to the wangfujing subway stop. Many good restaurants around and the mall has Starbucks and a good food court. McDonald's , KFC, Pizza Hut, Bread Talk, etc. are all in the mall or close by.

The wifi does not reach most of the rooms, so you've gotta go to the reception or bar areas to get it.

I have stayed at this hostel at least four times. I love the location, laid back atmosphere, and the very helpful staff (of course, if you speak some Chinese the service increases immensely as with other hostels) The front desk ladies were incredibly helpful when I had an issue with some people snoring in the room late at night and couldn't sleep. They accommodated me with a move to another room for the evening. I can't imagine this happening in other places.

As with much of China, things have improved: the staff here are firendly, well trained, professional and helpful. Dorms are mixed, exactly as described. extras were typically on the steep side. Hire bikes were good. Yes I would stay here again. great value. well done folks!

The room is a bit small. However, the hostel's location is good, the palace museum and Wangfujin street are within walking distance. Food is also easily available nearby the hostel.

Sunrise is the best place to stay in Beijing! You cannot beat the location. A short walk to Tian'anmen Square. I stayed in the 4 bed dorm, and had a good experience. The hostel's bar had decent food which was nice when you didn't want to go hunt for a meal. All the staff was so incredibly helpful. Any questions I had about the city were answered by staff. Would highly recommend the hostel's Great Wall trip. Will recommend Sunrise to all of my friends visiting Beijing. Very positive experience.

The staff was very friendly and helpful giving a lot of information. But the room was a drama. The bedclothes weren't clean for sure. Their colour was grey-yellow and we found some hair on on our bed. The bathroom was even worse - smelly and dark. It is good when you spend all the time outside. During our trip through China we stayed in better hostels for less money.

We enjoyed our stay in this hostel. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The location was walking distant to subway (about 1km) but pleasant view along groceries stores thats also sells souvenirs. Its was also walking distant to Tiannamen Square and Forbidden City.

Nice hostel in great location: short walk to Wangfujing street and Tiananmen square. It is easy to find and in a quiet area. Staff was friendly. The bar is nice, but small, unfortunately, there is a lot of cigarette smoke at night. If you are in a dorm, you have to use the common facilities, which are not too good (I only saw two toilets with shower, sinks are directly on the main floor!). All in all a good place to stay, but facilities should be better.

2 showers ( that double as toilets ) between everyone in the hostel makes for a queue in the morning.. The common area was consistsntly dead.. You should re-think that space, remove the wall and door between the bar area and foyer! Decor was less than exciting. The staff were very friendly and helpful though.
