Very friendly staff and a great place to meet other travelers. The amenities are all basic but clean and the location is great - within walking distance to a number of attractions around Beijing. Only downside is that the room did not have lockers but they did have locker facilities in a common area to store valuables.

My trip in China started here at Sunrise hostel, with the help of the staff i was able to get everywhere i wanted with out a problem, in the first room we had been too there was a problem with bathroom, the staff arranged us to move to a new room in a day or two. The hostel it self is located 10mins from everything the city and parks, and if not there is 7min walk to the Metro station. so my final words are thank you Sunrise staff for such a great welcome to China :)

Our favorite hostel in Beijing. It's such a good location to see the tourist sites that I brought my mom and sister to stay here when they came to visit me! It's also a really fun hostel if you just need a break. The bar food and drinks are awesome, and reasonably priced! We have stayed several times and had a lot of fun and met some great people! When we were stranded in Beijing over a holiday and couldn't get a train, the staff called many hotels and found us a good deal and even walked us!

The staff was absolutely accomodating and so friendly and able to arrange activities to any needs. It was only 5 mins to walk to the forbidden cities and the hostel is in a great location to get around by taxi for around 15 yuan. I really had a great time staying at Sunrise.

I really enjoyed staying at Sunrise, staff really goes out of their way to help you, the bar is nice and cozy, wifi in the rooms and although there's only two shared bathrooms, they are all super clean. Location is also a plus, just 15min walk from the subway and 5 min walk from the Wangfujing shopping area. The only minor complaint would be no mirrors nor fawcett in the bathrooms, so you have to do your face washing and teeth brushing in the hallway. But all in all, a great deal.

It was a normal hostel, not as clean and good as we thought. May be for this money you can find some other better place.

Nice hostel in a quite hutong in a walking distance from most must places. Enjoyed the people running it and it had some good books on China in the bar shelf. very nice place just around the corner from the Forbidden City and also a busy shopping street. Make sure you visit the nightly food market which is also around the corner.
