At the Sunrise Hostel we offer private rooms, dorms with shared bathroom and indoor camping with the best prices in town.
We also operate a Tourist Information Center in which we can provide all the tips you need to make your visit to the South Caribbean as enjoyable as possible.
For those of you who want to explore the surrounding areas on your own we rent beach bikes, kayaks, surf boards, and snorkel equipment. As well, we offer a large variety of guided tours among which you can find aquatic activities (fishing, scuba diving and snorkeling), boat trips, trekking, canoeing and canopy.
Not only a Hostel, on the second floor we offer the fastest internet in Puerto Viejo and an International Restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Sunrise Hostel was not very welcoming or clean. Of 2 upstairs bathrooms, one was missing a light, the other missing the toilet seat, and only 1of the showers worked (downstairs was a little better). Staff tried to charge me over double--my Spanish is poor and she spoke no English, so it took awhile to straighten out. Maybe an honest mistake but it didn't inspire confidence. Not much communal space. The location is good, but you can probably do better for the same price or a couple dollars more.
