A beautiful little hostel - character of the building you will not find in many other places. The beds are very hard (but comfy clean sheets & pillows) & there is a school next door so early morning wake up calls by the children - but hey welcome to China!! The character of the building & location more than makes up for this. Helpful staff :)

Stay here for location and charm. An old four-sided Chinese building with open-air courtyard in middle, nestled in quiet old Chongqing staircases and old houses. Nice atmosphere. Staff not warm or particularly helpful, in fact I would say poor. Price for private double is too expensive in relation to space and facilities. Not good for couples as walls retain no sound. Worth it if willing to overpay a bit for location/atmosphere, if not then find a better deal elsewhere.
