Wintertime is super quiet, location is beautiful but far from everything. The room was freezing, dark, and had very uncomfortable beds with dirty linen. Bathrooms are horrendous, the window didn't close, impossible to use the shower, water was a cold trickle. Meals are included &delicious, but be prepared to feel awkward asking for it to be made. Common room is just the family lounge room. Owners are nice but pushy. Met some really great volunteers there though who made our stay fun anyway. :)

A very nice, place owned by the nicest family ever. Great view and location on the beach.. Great wild surroundings. And the food is delicious, fresh, home made from farm products!! A great place in Corfu to spend some time!

This is my second visit and I absolutely loved it. The location is one of the best in Corfu if you are looking for an unspoilt location. The value for money is brilliant as is the food. The surrounding beaches are spectacular as are the sunsets. Thankyou to Mada and Spiro and family for their hospitality - I shall see you all next year no doubt! x

Not worth the "Top Rated" Hostel! Although the staff were quite helpful the hostel itself is completly run down, and filthy. Only stayed 2 nights when meant to stay 3. Staff couldnt find our door key but never moved us so we had to prop our bags up against the door to make the door close. Bathrooms were terrible, this place needs a MAJOR RENOVATION! Also difficult to relax & enjoy yourself when sharing the common areas with the owner and their family. The common room was their living room!

We had a lovely stay at Sunrock, staying in a twin room. The views of the bay from the breakfast terrace are spectacular and the breakfast was pretty awesome too, the options suited everyone! The beach was lovely to swim, sunbathe, stroll and snorkel... even with the thunderstorms we had! The family were very happy to drop us in town on one of their daily journeys, only 20 mins! We had lovely evening meals together with the other guests, yummy Greek food! Madalena and her family deserve a visit!

I was charged 2%tax on top of what my balance to pay was. I thought this unusaal and this never happed before. Dinners were good and breakfast was nice as well. Didn't realise that there would be such difficulty getting to local bus stop and Pelekas village really was not an option for socialising etc.

Spiros and Madelena were very kind and I met some delightful young people during my two week stay at Sunrock. All good wishes for the future, Robert x

I loved this family run Hostel! Madalena, Sparos and the kids were amazing! I only booked in for 5 days but ended up staying for the whole 2 weeks of my holiday. The hostel has a great view over the beach and the food is amazing. Very social and fun hostel. If you are looking for a really relaxed and fun time with great people then this is the perfect place for you. Madalena also organises really anything that u need from scooters to pedicures to trips into Corfu town from the hostel. Mike&Jim

If you are looking for a filthy, nasty, pricey, noisy mosquito and teenybopper infested pit then this is the place for you. The nearest cash machine is a 20 euro taxi ride away so take all the money you need. This beach is difficult to get to and there's not much there, just 2 restaurants and an all inc hotel. The kid who seems to run the place however is great!

Amazing beach location and they pick up service from the port. Breakfast and dinner included were good, atmosphere was ok. Renovations to the rooms and general buildings could improve the hostel. Staff are helpful but be you need to give yourself plenty of time when asking for help. The location doesn't have many shops around and is a long walk to bus stop so lunch at a reasonable prices quite difficult.

Great location, friendly volunteer staff and a nice crowd. However, this is the dirtiest place you will ever stay. The bathrooms and rooms are filthy and the hostel owner is incredibly rude, makes out like it is a hassle do drop you off and pick u in town and will aggressively confront you in front of other guests if she has a problem with you. In august it gets to over 40 and the rooms there is not even a fan. No locks on the door.I wouldn't support this place as they make no effort welcoming u

The bathrooms were very dirty and not well managed... we didnt see anyone attempt to clean over the two nights we stayed there. The rooms didnt have a lot of storage space and the lack of AC meant that it was really hot at night.

No ac. No mosquito nets or screens, so the choice is either overheat or get bitten, internet not included, close to the beach but far from the town. They want you to buy everything from them, ie. meals not included. breakfast was good but dinner was okay. Overall not so great.

The location is excellent, right at the beach, amazing breathtaking view. Staff very unreliable, Mada can be very moody, don't dare not finish your meal, she will tell you off! Can be quite unprofessional in this matter, I saw her asking a guest 'do you have a problem with me?' this in front of other guests. We stayed for 1 week and they never cleaned the room or collected the rubbish, which I had to do. The food is good and prices are fair.

This hostel is just awesome and deserves a 100% of rating. Everyone speaks english, the beach is awesome, the airport pickup and bringing back for free, the included breakfast and the extremly good dinner is just unnatural to get all this for such a low price. The rooms are nice too. All in All the best Hostel I've ever been in.

Delightful owners, delicious food, fantastic views, right next to beach. A bargain. Madalena, the landlady, works round the clock to ensure a constant flow of happy customers, Spyros, her husband patiently picks up and drops off at the airport or bus station. I stayed with my two teenage daughters and we had a lovely time. Would be very happy for my girls to go there on their own to stay. Lots of interesting and happy backpackers coming and going.
