The owners are very nice and willing to drive us out to the town center. Magdalene was helpful and a good cook. The servings are quite substantial. Her children are friendly too and we got to know more about the way of life in greece from them. However, the location is a bit out of the way. That's even out by the beautiful view. It was very chilly at night because there was no heater.
The family who runned the hostel were extremely nice. When we arrived late at night they had dinner waiting for all of us. The food was amazing! It was fresh authentic Greek food. The beach is gorgeous and it is only about a 5 minute walk from the hostel. The trip to Corfu was one of my favorit trips I have ever taken and a lot had to do with the amazing time I had at Sunrock!

Sunrock is a great hostel!! it´s located over the beach. it has a big balcony when you can eat or drink a beer. I´d come back. :)
I had a fantastic time at Sunrock - the owners are lovely and the breakfasts and dinner that were included were amazing, as was the location. Perfect for a relaxing time on the beach enjoying the sun
Very friendly owners, good vibe, and free transport is a godsend with the extortionate cost of taxis on the island.
This place looks and sounds amazing on the website but really isn't, the food is great, good social atmosphere and location is on the beach but a killer if you want to venture out, took 3 hours to pick us up from bus station, no sorry just excuses from they thought it was the airport the guy crashed someone who didn't work there organised it blah blah sorry wound of done it, booked double bed got three single beds, 4 nights toilet bin and room never cleaned, mozzis galore, really not that great
Definitely it worth staying at this Hostel. Yes, it is not close to the harbor and may take some time for someone to pick you up, but this is the price to pay to stay in paradise. A hostel relatively small, family run and located in a lovely beach. It will be difficult to leave this refuge.
This was an absolutely fantastic family run hostel and was the best stop on my entire Europe trip. The staff were epic and created a great atmosphere were you could just chill and enjoy the patio and mix with other guests after a day at the beach. Both the breakfasts and dinners that were included were delicious and made fresh and drinks were reasonably priced at the patio bar. I had a fantastic week at Sunrock and cannot recommend them enough!
If your after true a backpacker place, this is perfect. Location is good with a lovely view, although a new club built on the beach will play loud music now day and night. Lovely people that run the place and with breakfast and dinner included it is good value for money. Rooms are very average, not too clean and cold water. I heard from many people that pick up can be a long wait, and no transfer back, it can be a VERY long hard uphill walk to the bus to take pick you up
Free shuttle took an hour and a half to collect me at airport . Shuttle driver to the ferry when leaving told me to get my ticket and wait for him to come back ....which he didn't do.almost missed the ferry.the staff were ively relaxed.it was difficult to pay, our bathroom in 3 bed form wasnt cleaned once during my three nught stay.there was no toilet paper replaced and the bathroom smelled. The location on the beach is nice.dinner and breakfast and view also very nice .
Beautiful beach location, and delicious home cooked meals! Rooms pretty hot and stuffy at night, you can open the windows for fresh air, but beware of the bug bites you will have in the morning!
Great place! Best location and atmosphere. Huge balcony to hang and socialise and food great! Toilets and showers not great but everything else makes up for it.
It is a family run business and they take care of both family and travelers very well. People who are running the place are excellent. The atmosphere is unique. Nice dinner and breakfast included in the price and pick up & drop off service by car for free are of several advantages of this place. Can't say enough good things about this place.
The place is really beautiful. when you have breakfast you have a great view of the sea. As for free transfer they promise, I spent one hour waiting for them and I wasn't sure if they'd come. on the way nack they only brought me to the bus stop. there's a bus to the town centre. but I had to walk to the airport with a suitcase 1,5 km when it was very hot. so the plce is really nice, but don't rely on transfer
One of the best hostels I have come across in my 2 years of travel / hostel living. The staff, the location, the views
Could not be nicer. Staff were great, foods great and there's a great view over the beach.
A labor of love. Hostel run by accommodating family who take really good care of you. Got a lift from the port for free at 5am. Serves both amazing breakfast and dinner, make sure to try the Greek pancakes! Lunch is available for good prices. Extremely close to the beach, and very good common area to meet new people. Balcony overlooking the ocean. Booked a private double bed room, lots of natural lighting and space. Lack of shower curtain was a bit of an issue, otherwise fantastic.
I loved the fact that this hostel was right at the beach. Staff was alright, although i I didnt really find them helpful. They help if you ask them, but wouldnt say much to you about anything at all when arriving (dinner together/ daytrips...). Also, they were promoting pick-up from ferry which only happened after i had been waiting 30 minutes and then called them and they were not even apologizing. I think if they become more friendly and open to guests, this could be just the perfect place.
We stayed for 6 nights and by the end we didn't want to leave! So we are going to come back for another week. The family is brilliant. The food is brilliant. The view is brilliant. The beach is brilliant.
It was a lovely chilled out atmosphere when I was there, family run, really hospitable and welcoming, great home cooked meals, easy to meet people.
