The whole time I was there the only two toilets available for the rooms were not working (and the owners did nothing about it when I told them they were broken at the beginning of my one week stay). The stench was then abysmal in the toilets. The hall didn't look very clean and the staff was smoking all the time in this area, which I found rather unpleasant. Easy access to one beach. However, if you want to travel by bus BEWARE, you have to climb a very STEEP slope for about 20-30 minutes.

Very friendly and nice people, it's a familiar atmosphere and the house is just wonderful some meters above the seaside. They picked us up from the airport to Pelekas and a warm meal for dinner a tasty breakfast is included in the price. The households are speaking fluently English so they can help you around with any problems. Only the rooms are very basic but clean and with this view and the sea nearby you won't spend many time there at all ;-) We definitely would come back! Meike

The staff was rude with me. The wifi works just on common areas, moreover, it was not good there. In the dinner, the greek salad was really good, but the main dish was not traditional greek food and, also, the breakfast we can choose only one thing. The beach close to the hostel is good but if you want to visit other beaches and you don't drive, it is my case, i dont recommend. The swimming pool was empty.

The location is stunning for the views and also the quick and easy access to the sandy beach. The working farm that the famly run gives a great insight into the local produce and tradition. The evening meal which is included in the price is served after the sunset which can be seen from the communal terrace. The meal time was a good place to meet and talk to fellow travellers. Good food, showers, rooms and wine!!! The only complaint I heard was that people had only booked for one night!

this is what hostelling is about, meeting people eating together and sharing stories/drinks. There are a few inconveniences like the bees but it's rather easy to get over and Spyros goes into town at least twice a day so it's fairly easy to get in and out.

Corfu is a really nice place, and all that you want to do ia relax, but during the stay we got some problems, the shower had only cold water, the wifi don't works properly (never worked from the room), and the bus stop is really far walking up hill. The pros are the dinner served, the volunteers working there are really kind, in front there is a nice beach and the transfer provided from the hostel to the airport

Friendly atmosphere, very good food and a super view. Shuttle runs to Corfu and the airport and the busses ar nearby.

What more can you ask for in a hostel in Corfu? Greek family and Greek cusine.. Stones throw from the beach. Amazing views not only of the beach, horizon but sunset and moon set! Friendly and helpful staff.. Local family and volunteers. Free breakfast AND dinner.. Home made from local home grown products. Chilled terrace to hang out on, friendly people to hang at the beach with. A home away from home. Most beautiful location and cheap price which includes room and food!

Do you enjoy mosquito bites? Dirty floors? Wasps? A condescending attitude from the owner when you ask for more toilet rolls for your room? A shower that barely works? For all this and more, when you're paying €100 a night for a 4-bed room, come to Sunrock. To be fair the location is brilliant, and free breakfast and lunch are provided every day. But at €25pp you could really expect a lot better than this. The bar is good craic and the staff try, but the owner is a constant... "presence"...

We've reservated a duble basic room (shared bathroom), and it was fine! Brekfast (1choice between greek pancakes, french toast, omlette, scrambles eggs) and dinner (greek salad + main dish, any drink exluded) are included. Their terrace on the see is amazing to rest and see the sunset, but the location is pretty far from everything except beautiful beaches, I suggest to rent a scooter (18€/day). The only 2 negative things I have to point out are: insects (bees and mosquitos) and awful wifi.

Amazing hostel! I booked for 3 nights but ended up staying for 5! It's location is perfect. Located on the stunning pelekas beach! The food they made was incredible, and the fact you got a delicious breakfast and dinner for free was amazing (i'd definitely recommend the Greek pancakes for breakfast) :D Only downside was no locks on some of the dorm rooms. It's more of a trust system. But I had no problems. Wifi is average. But the hotel next door has free wifi by their pool. Just Sayin'.

Sunrock was the ideal place for a week away from a big city. The location is perfect, right next to a beautiful beach - and can't really ask for a better view from the hostel. This is a family run hostel, where you feel really at home. Madalena/Spyros are the nicest people and always try to accommodate any needs. Dinner is included and everyone gets together around the table, which always kicks-off fun nights. What a great atmosphere, looking forward to go back anytime soon.

The wifi didn't work the entire three nights we were there. We had to wait an hour to get collected from the airport and then we waited nearly 2 hours to check in and we didn't have a double room as requested. The location is nice if you just want to stay in that place with the one beach but to get the bus into Corfu town means you have to walk more than 1km up a very steep hill to catch the bus and the bus only comes every 1-2 hours, hire a car if you plan to stay here.

AWFUL experience. 1- They forget to pick us up at the airport - I had to call twice to get them to come. 2- Didn't get the room I booked; we had booked a private double room, which was advertised as air-conditioned w/a balcony & when we arrived were put into a 4 bed dorm with 2 others. 3- It didn't have air-con or even a fan. 4- We were charged the original higher rate for the private room! 5- Eaten alive by mosquitos during the night. 6- Left after the first night and lost my HW deposit. AVOID!

- We booked a double ensuite, but did not get it. After some waiting we got twin shared bathroom. - Had mixed feeling, on one hand amazing location and sea view, on the other the place was quite remote. It is fine when you have rented a car. - It was not allowed to eat or drink anything that was bought elsewhere in any of the common areas and the prices at the hostel were at the same level as in usual restaurants. In addition, from wines they only sold home-made wine, which was terrible.

This place is gorgeous, the beach was my favorite we visited in Corfu. It's hard to believe they give each guest a quality homemade breakfast AND dinner but it's true! The staff is a local family and a bunch of volunteer travelers which makes a fun atmosphere. Our only problem was waiting at least two hours for the port pickup and we heard of a few security problems. Our private room wasn't nice to spend time in but you have the whole beautiful bar, deck and beach to enjoy so it's all good.

I had no idea what to expect, when i booked this Sunrock for a week. I was pleaseantly surprised. The place was amazing. The location for one and the terrace overlooking the ocean and beach were amazing. Also, They provide a quality breakfast and dinner everyday. You will have to take care of lunch yourself. I have nothing bad to say about this place.....it was simply the best place hostel that I've ever stayed at. They also have cute puppies! Highly, highly recommend!
