Do you enjoy mosquito bites? Dirty floors? Wasps? A condescending attitude from the owner when you ask for more toilet rolls for your room? A shower that barely works? For all this and more, when you're paying €100 a night for a 4-bed room, come to Sunrock. To be fair the location is brilliant, and free breakfast and lunch are provided every day. But at €25pp you could really expect a lot better than this. The bar is good craic and the staff try, but the owner is a constant... "presence"...
Amazing hostel! I booked for 3 nights but ended up staying for 5! It's location is perfect. Located on the stunning pelekas beach! The food they made was incredible, and the fact you got a delicious breakfast and dinner for free was amazing (i'd definitely recommend the Greek pancakes for breakfast) :D Only downside was no locks on some of the dorm rooms. It's more of a trust system. But I had no problems. Wifi is average. But the hotel next door has free wifi by their pool. Just Sayin'.
Sunrock was the ideal place for a week away from a big city. The location is perfect, right next to a beautiful beach - and can't really ask for a better view from the hostel. This is a family run hostel, where you feel really at home. Madalena/Spyros are the nicest people and always try to accommodate any needs. Dinner is included and everyone gets together around the table, which always kicks-off fun nights. What a great atmosphere, looking forward to go back anytime soon.
The wifi didn't work the entire three nights we were there. We had to wait an hour to get collected from the airport and then we waited nearly 2 hours to check in and we didn't have a double room as requested. The location is nice if you just want to stay in that place with the one beach but to get the bus into Corfu town means you have to walk more than 1km up a very steep hill to catch the bus and the bus only comes every 1-2 hours, hire a car if you plan to stay here.
AWFUL experience. 1- They forget to pick us up at the airport - I had to call twice to get them to come. 2- Didn't get the room I booked; we had booked a private double room, which was advertised as air-conditioned w/a balcony & when we arrived were put into a 4 bed dorm with 2 others. 3- It didn't have air-con or even a fan. 4- We were charged the original higher rate for the private room! 5- Eaten alive by mosquitos during the night. 6- Left after the first night and lost my HW deposit. AVOID!
- We booked a double ensuite, but did not get it. After some waiting we got twin shared bathroom. - Had mixed feeling, on one hand amazing location and sea view, on the other the place was quite remote. It is fine when you have rented a car. - It was not allowed to eat or drink anything that was bought elsewhere in any of the common areas and the prices at the hostel were at the same level as in usual restaurants. In addition, from wines they only sold home-made wine, which was terrible.
This place is gorgeous, the beach was my favorite we visited in Corfu. It's hard to believe they give each guest a quality homemade breakfast AND dinner but it's true! The staff is a local family and a bunch of volunteer travelers which makes a fun atmosphere. Our only problem was waiting at least two hours for the port pickup and we heard of a few security problems. Our private room wasn't nice to spend time in but you have the whole beautiful bar, deck and beach to enjoy so it's all good.
I had no idea what to expect, when i booked this Sunrock for a week. I was pleaseantly surprised. The place was amazing. The location for one and the terrace overlooking the ocean and beach were amazing. Also, They provide a quality breakfast and dinner everyday. You will have to take care of lunch yourself. I have nothing bad to say about this place.....it was simply the best place hostel that I've ever stayed at. They also have cute puppies! Highly, highly recommend!
It is a fantastic place, only 5 Minutes Walk to 2 braches, the small one gives you a Lot of shadow . There are also 2 Nice beaches 10 Minutes to go. You have a wonderfull Sunset at the Sunrock very close to the ocean. The Transfer from AirPort or Ferry is included, they also bring you to your Département Place, for Exempel the greenbus. Most of the Food is organic from their own farm.
The rooms are really old and a bit filthy and smelly. There is no airconditionning and no mosquito nets. It's right at a very nice beach. The food is great. If you want to visit other places, you have to walk to the bus stop for 30 minutes on a very steep way.
A short accurate review: - Best views i have ever seen from a hostel; - the food is 9/10 and comes free with the price (breakfast and dinner); - the beach really is a 1 minute walk away; - just amazing. You will love it here. Corfu is a very large island though and you might want to check out other parts. The hostel is very focused on just one beach and can be hard to get in and out of. This is like most locations in Corfu though. Highly recommended.
Such an awesome hostel, I definitely reccomend it
By far my favorite hostel I have ever stayed at. Perfect place for solo travelers. Beautiful view. Amazing location. Incredible breakfast and dinner which is included in your stay. Such a relaxed and helpful staff. Never enjoyed a place more. So happy to have stayed here.
I was very impressed with the warm welcome and fantastic venue for our meals - balcony overlooking the beach! Lovely home-cooked food, excellent red wine from the local grapes, easy-going, friendly staff and a great holiday atmosphere. Madelena and Spyros were so helpful, it was like home from home. Spyros drove us to the port for our cruise round Paxos and Antipaxos - another early start, thank you Spyros!

Just a 2 minute walk from the beach. The breakfast and dinner are amazing. Cheap alcohol with large showers and comfortable beds. Very friendly and helpful staff. They don't always do the airport pickup and it is cash only.
The location is great if you want a beach holiday--otherwise you have to walk up a really long, steep hill to the bust stop, and the bus only runs once every 1-2 hours. The staff were nice, but didn't give us any info (what time breakfast and dinner were, where to go for them, where the path to the beach was). My biggest complaint was how gross our bathroom was--it was full of mold. The room stunk. Great atmosphere though--the family dinner table encourages everyone to get to know each other.
Super! i recommend all the way! Near the beach! Awosome hostel!

Wonderful hostel, and am now in love with Greece. Not a place to go if you want a heavy nightlife, but perfect for a few days on a gorgeous beach in a wonderful hostel (full of amazing, home made and home grown Greek food!). The long walk to the bus made it a bit tricky to get into town, but also added to the beauty and relaxation of the ambience of the hostel. I would highly recommend planning a few nights at the resort, at least, for a wonderful, authentic stay in the Greek islands.
