I find the hosts very friendly and they really work hard to make their guests comfortable. They are acknowledgeable about Guangzhou city even though they don't come from southern China. They love food and always cook more to share with their guests. Good view from the balcony!

The hostel has a fantastic view and a wonderful owner. If we ever had any problems she was an amazing help. Easily the best hostel I have stayed in.

I had a very nice stay at Sunshine Home, the owner is really welcoming and always willing to provide help. The place itself is very cozy. The hostel looks like a real home and is very nice for meeting people. Metro station about 10/15 mins away, splendid view from the 15th floor on the nearest park, all facilities provided within the hostel. Thumbs up !

The owner of the place is really helpful and professional. She knows a lot about the city and can help you on many issues because she speak fluent english. I recommend this hostel to anyone going in Guangzhou!

Very nice stay over there, the place has a pretty view over a park and has a huge living room, which makes it easy to meet other guests from all over the world! The bathroom was not 100% clean and kind of stinky tough. The owner is extremely nice and is available to help you with any information needed. I would recommend it!

This is a place you're definitely going to feel home at. We were warmly welcomed by both our hosts and the other people staying in the hostel. The location is well connected to public transportation. You're going to love that place and Lian and her husband will provide any help or advice you need. Have fun in Guangzhou!

Very homey! The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a little out of the way, but the directions to the hostel were very easy to follow.

Spent 3 nights in dorm; it, like many hostels in Guangzhou and Shenzhen, is actually a converted apartment and has the feel of such; located in western residential area but 10 min walk to subway; lockers big enough for valuables but not full bags; nice views from dorm bay window and balcony, overlooking lake park area; owner is friendly and always looking for suggestions to improve the place, including upgrading the mattresses to softer ones while I was there; majority Western guests

It is more like a big flat, with lot of rooms than a hostel. It is a great place to meet people. The staff is very helpful and nice. The view is awesome, especially when you are on the balcony during the nigth (23th or 15th floor). Good place to make a stop 3-4 days.

This hostel is excellent, it's run by a very kind woman and her husband. She speaks very good English and she is always ready to help. The wifi is really fast. The place is clean, it's very safe, the area is also very good, there is a subway station nearby. There is a gourmet street (Pantang Lu) near the hostel where you can eat delicious Cantonese food for less than 25 CNY.

The hostel is special because it is more a home-hostel in an apartment than a hostel. The manger is open-minded and really thoughtful.

I really loved staying at this hostel. It has a really nice "when you're here, you're family" atmosphere. The lady who owns it speaks English very well and is easy to contact; she also has a lot of things available to help (English maps, recommendations, etc.), and she's very nice. Another review mentioned that the bathroom on one of the floors smells like mildew, which it does, so if you're allergic... yeah. But if not, it's a really minor inconvenience in what is otherwise an awesome hostel.

The hostel is located in an apartment, not sure of the legality based on Chinese laws. It is run by a husband and wife who are nice and in general the place is very clean and secure. There is a huge living room for guests to hang out and a balcony. I think there is only two rooms for guests, could probably hold 16 people. Not too sure about the location, just stayed for one night so I could apply for a visa but I would not mind staying there again.

It's not really a hostel, more a private appartment with some trundle beds. We arrived late at night and althiugh the staff was very nice and helpful I cant imagine the other guests beeing very happy about them turning on the lights for us and explaining everything loudly. Bathroom and beds not great but the view was awesome!

Nice home-stay, expected more of a hostel but that was probably I had not read enough! Clean apartment, just minutes from a subway station that gives access to the whole city and a lovely host Lian who takes care of guests as her friends. Highly recommended for everyone who is willing to pay a modest fee for a real positive trust-worthy 'couch-surfing' experience.

More of an apartment than a hostel, and quite hard to find first time round, but really nice character and the owner is lovely! If you're staying in Guangzhou I'd definitely recommend it.

I had a friendly welcome and got good advices and help with my broken suitcase. I just didn´t expect it to look like an real home. Maybe some more pictures or descriptions on the page would be better. The beds were a bit scary, but the blankets were amazing!! Although it´s winter and there´s no heater, they kept me warm during the night. Two bathrooms, nice service and even breakfast. Crowded rooms but nice atmosphere.

Clean beds and clean western toilets. The hostess, a former English teacher, creates a nice atmosphere and helps you with all kinds of information, as how to book train tickets, where to go, and what to eat. Good value for your money.
