Booked for one night after a late night flight to Phuket, and we were leaving early the next day to Koh Phi Phi. It was clean, basic, allwe needed for 1 night, it is not near the beach, so wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a beach stay in Phuket but it's great if you just need to stay a night in between travel.

I like Sunwest Guesthouse. Eventough, the location is somewhat remote, the room that i lived was comfortable. The facilities also good enough and the most important thing was the room is clean. I will recomend this place to person who looks a room that cheap enough but has good quality in Phuket Town. The location was not too far away from Bus Station.

Perfect place to stay if you're looking for a budget guesthouse to rest your head for a night or two before heading on to your next adventure... located minutes from bus terminal which was super convenient for planning our next stop & lots of tuk tuks at bus terminal. Has everything you need: a/c, tv with an english movie channel, hot water, super clean, towels, toilet paper, soap, mini fridge, wifi and really nice staff- although their english isn't the greatest. Totally recommended!!

It is excellent value of money and close to Phuket bus terminal. Easy to get bus for next destination city such as bangkok, koi samui, krabi, pataya, hatyai and any main city in Thailand.

Good value option in Phuket Town. The single en-suite room I was given was funtional and clean, the staff were helpful and friendly when required. Easy to get local transport to the beaches and ferries andgood for exploring the old town of Phuket.

There was an asian guy staying in our dorm. All 6 of us wanted to close the backdoor at night cause of the mosquitoes. The asian guy didn't want and became very agressive and disrespectful. After long arguing and calling the staff : all of us had to move to another dorm and even move ourselves some matress?! Very bad management. The asian guy seemed to be staying there a long time and was friend with the guy at reception.

Hello, At that time, you asked if we have another dorm room. So, we think you wanted to change the room. It is our bad understanding. We would like to apologise for that. Best Regards

We only stayed here one night to grab a flight from the airport but it seemed pretty nice. The staff sorted out a morning taxi for us and were welcoming. It was pretty clean. Pretty easy to find when you're in the right area. Quiet apart from a bit of building work outside that started at 8am.

In my case it was a place where to sleep just one night till I got to Phi Phi, though, for the money you pay (specially in a place such as Phuket, where everything is 2 times more expensive than other areas) this could be a good option. Dorm are big, clean, and comfortable. I didn´t ask for anything else, and that´s all I got.

Great hostel for the price. Ideal if you are getting a ferry the next day or just have a quick stay in Phuket town. Much nicer then staying anywhere near Patong Beach

You get what you pay for, absolutely nothing. The place was filled with mosquitos as even basic things such as mosquito nets were missing. Beds were below average, rooms were too hot (even though the doors were left open allowing even more mosquitos to enter) and staff, while friendly, spoke very little English. Lastly, every single request cost money. If you wanted to take a shower after you checked out or borrow a small item.. anything that in most places would be provided freely, was charged.

at that time, I have a friend that took a dorm room, and i didn't understand why we should prepare our bed by ourself? I think it will be better if guest coming and find the room/bed is ready to be used.. it will make a better impression for your hostel.

Owner Comment (Show)
Hello We have prepared the bed for guest before, but then several time guest asked if he/she can change the bed because they prefer to sleep at another bed. So, from then we let the guest choose their own beds. And, we can't prepare all the beds because we are afraid that the guests who stayed before will sit or sleep in the available bed. If so, we have to change the linen for every bed, due to cleanliness. Sunwest guesthouse
