Stayed for 2 nights. Very quite hostel due to the lobby area being so warm that there is no real area for bag packers to mingle and swap stories. Wifi very poor. However security wise it is very good with key carded lobby doors and room door.

Before we got there, we were a little worried about their no check in after 9 PM policy, but when we arrived and realized it's one person working there, it made sense. She was super friendly and helpful with all our questions. The hostel was very conveniently located near the airport bus terminal and near lots of good street food areas. We stayed in a comfortable and clean private room and were given towels. Overall, very good value for budget travelers.

Security : bring your own access card, there will be no receptionist after 5 PM Room: the room is clean and tidy. There are central AC's, but will be only available on demand. Staff : There is no difference between having and not having one - I think the receptionist is the only full timer there (08.00 - 17.00). Sunwest is cold, quiet, and creepy because you could be the only guest there. If you want a place far from crowdy Phuket streets and nightlife, this place is best choice.
