Simon was absolutely wonderful! Me and my friend arrived way past our arrival time of 1am, and ended up arriving around 3am. Simon waited up for us and even sent an e-mail to double-check to see if we were okay. The place is incredibly clean and safe with a security camera outside and lock! The location is a bit sketchy downstairs, but once you get through the building towards the security guards and go up the elevators, you're totally fine. Thanks so much for a great stay, Simon!

The place is clean and small but it is surprisingly compacted with everything you need! (even with a DVD player in the room) Simon was really kind and he also showed us the emergency escape plan, which turned out to be our substitute for the lift since 5th floor was not difficult for us to climb. The only drawback is the mansion itself. Not recommend for girls who would like to go alone, especially during night time. All in all, would like to stay again when visiting HK.

Simon was nice, and provided all the necessary facilities that backpackers need although the room is a little bit small. I would choose this hostel again if I go to HK again

The hostel itself was very safe, and Simon really keeps the place very clean! We got fresh towels and new sheets every day, which was a huge bonus. The main problem is with the building itself - Chung King Mansions is not for everyone (google it). Other than that, Simon really does his best to make the hostel itself a safe haven in a rather chaotic place. It is safer than it looks - as two girls we survived and felt comfortable with the area by the end of our stay.
