Decent place, but no real common areas or places to meet up with folks. Also, the WiFi internet won't allow new computers to join (so, basically, it won't work and the owner doesn't know how to fix it). The owner is nice and the rooms are clean though (beds down on the floor).

If you look for a location, this hostel is the best, very easy to travel around. Otherwise, better to look for other.

The staff were so competent and helpful. Mr Tang was so knowledgeable and went out of his way to lead my daughter and I in the night to the bus station to reach our train station at Woodlands. Fantastic service.

Nice old couple who'm handle the housekeeping. We're suppose to have twin bed room on 3rd floor, but it's was under renovation. We got bunkbeds in a small room on 1st floor. No complaint about the dogs (3 cute ones, but no cats as other reviewers have written), only one barking in the morning (no problem because you'll be up anyway).

To welcome guest, the front door should be open. If closed, you must put big sign so that we can see. To operate a hostel business, TOWEL should be free of charge.

It was ok. I was clean. would be nice if the hot water worked, Wirelass internet never worked. Why it got a low rating on fun is that the manager's two dogs would bark at any hour of the day or night and the manager did NOTHING about it.

Don't have almost anything good to say about this hostel. In the corridor and toilets it smells very bad, room was not that clean and really tiny (like a closet with mattresses on the floor), beds were awful (fake leather under the sheets which makes you sweat), paper thin walls, cockroaches running in the room. Only good things were location (as mentioned in many reviews), free internet and clean and new showers (with hot water). Despite the location we wouldn't go back.

the double rooms are very poor and we cant recommend... our room was mould infested... so we asked for a different room and were lucky to stay in a dormitory room with bunk beds and screens to next bunk beds... this was ok... but be careful... the owner wants you to pay first before he lets you in and if you cant avoid the mould infested rooms as we did you wont get your money back... so dont book a double bed room at this place...

HORRIBLY NOISY! The paper thin cardboard partition (with no 100% close up ceiling) is very unsafe. If you are tall enough, a crawl from the non close up space between the ceiling and the partition can get you to the next room. The paper thin partition can let you hear even the typing noice on a laptop fr the next dr. The night of my stay is horrible. A group of backpackers singing loudly with loud music till 3am eventhough they are told by us not to do so. I would not recommend this hostel.

Catastrophic hostel to anyone we recommend not going there.Nice location but away from everything. Money is required before entering the room, literally on the road without any reception when you come into the hostel understand why they do it. Toilet and shower at the same place, shower over the toilet bowl. Claustrophobic single rooms, reconstructed only a thin wall that no longer outweigh the ceiling so that you hear someone snoring, farting, coughing ... Staff speak English poorly. Terrible!

Good location at attractive price. But 1-2 nights are the max you want to stay here. Walls are paper thin between the rooms and only a heavy consumption of alcohol ensures a good nights sleep. Our room was on the top floor - a small attic room which made standing up in your room nigh impossible. But I guess if you don't intend to spend much time in your room then its sufficient. The free wi-fi was intermittent and unreliable - acceptable in other parts of SE Asia, but not Singapore.

Good location. Clean. Staff good. But if the price can provide simple breakfast will be better.
